I agree that this isn't one of the most pretty tricks to do n any obstacle, but on a beefy rail like that I can't even imagine trying that.  Doing any fakie ollie rail trick is sketchy.

That's subjective, the body is turned more backward and the skater's feet are actually in a normal position instead of having one foot on the nose and the other on the tail. Its the same reason smith grinds are alright, but nollie smiths look like cat vomit.
