Damn that minefield wallride kinda debunked me at tad out of sheer radness.Though I will stick by my reason just to fire up some rants and say that mindfield trick was as much a switch wallie as it was a switch wallride.

I think my original point would be easier to prove if we had footage. If he is able to support himself with the friction his wheels have because he is not on a vertical surface, it is more obviously a steep ass bank. Pictures lie. Ads lie. I lie.

the more i look at this, the less sense it makes. this is seriously in omar salazar's "i want to die" territory. i'm as interested in seeing the bails as the make.

Not a wallride. Hope he flipped in based on how slanted it is.

the guy in the blue shirt was taking incline measurements but has yet to publish them. we will soon know if it was a bank or a wall.

haven't been in a dog's age but i remember a seattle high school having some steep bank going down like 20 stairs. it was mellower than this by far, we were able to go up and down it. had nothing on this but kinda reminds me of the layout. i'm enjoying the debate but if anyone can post  a picture of that seattle bank that'd be tit.

I think backside carve is probably the best name for this trick. It's amazing but this thread was even better.

You are thinking of Garfield High, and it was more like ten stairs but yes you could go up and down the bank next to the stairs.
I guess you could do it higher if you came off on one of the stairs and did it that way but I don't know if that's what you meant.
The spot has been changed since I skated it way back in the late 80s, couldn't find any pics from back then but I think this is how it looks now:

Sorry for tiny picture (its the middle one) but all I could find of the particular area you're thinking about.

ALSO bonus best fried chicken in the world across the street at Ezell's.

BUT BACK TO JAKE FUCKING JOHNSON!!
Insane trick, definitely a wallride but on a banked wall big whoop, call it a carve if you like but he is a fucking monster and this is one of the raddest things you will see this year.

I just spent 15 minutes searching for the clip of David Gravette popping off the guardrail/hubba thing into the bank but I can't find it. That shit was so fucking insane.

I love how a mindblowing part full of hammers and 20+ stair rails is unlikely to make it to 3 pages these days, yet a single photo makes it to 6.

looks steep and slippery enough to be considered a wallride in my book.

I'm just trying to figure out how he got so far without going  over the top. Had to be going so fast.
Han solo blew up the Death Star in Episode 4.  Heard it from a friend.  Reliable source.
