^Not even that. The Garcia thing was a few years prior. I am saying that he made an ad where he had a totally new and made up last name.

It was a picture of him covered in blood and it said something like "Frank Hirata is dead, Frank ________ is born." I totally forgot what the name was. It was embarrasing enough to get him kicked off.

I saw it once for 30 seconds about 10 years ago. I am sure someone in this wide world has it on a hard drive in their closet.

Popwar was cool. Had those weird nodules on the bottom of the board that stuck out. I think it was mainly Cairo's and when he left they went under.

Anyone remember markovich's brand crimson? I skated one back in the day, it was a piece of shit.

Yeah and then right after that went under he started one called Given. Exact same art direction as Crimson.

Bummer High.
This has me cracking up, what exactly does Black Flag have to do with measuring your dick starting behind ya nuts?

Skateboarding is nothing but a game to find the right fits to appear like you're a proportional human being instead of a midget or a giant.

I used to sweat Physics Wheels for a minute.  As wheels improved/got bigger in the 90's they had one of the better compounds for the crust around here.  They were also one of the first to do the rasta/sacred geometry vibe.

I totally forgot that Jerry was on at the end though.

sorry, i can't find anything. there slogan was 'who are the driven and how do they survive?' it might've been SLAP or even early Lowcard, i get the feeling it was low budget than Thrasher but they definitely had black and white ads. the bin laden one was like 'is he a terrrorist? or a really rad dude? you don't know til you get to know him or something to that effect. pretty great stuff.

Did given go under? I cant find a website and their FB page hasnt been updated in 4 years.

I got a board cause I was hyped on ragdoll at the time, then I was playing SKATE 2 online and someone questioned my legitimacy as a skateboarder.  I told them I had a crimson with indys and spitfires and they didnt even know what Crimson was and told me it was a Kmart brand
would you rather read an abudabi post or have a screwdriver shoved up your ass?

The Driven is still around in some capacity. I still see the boards from time to time.
