Only drug that has ever made me seemingly skate better is the klonopin I'm on now. For one it's not such a heavy benzo like xanax or ativan so I don't feel body heavy. It makes my anxiety go away so I don't care who is at the park or whatever, I drive around looking for stuff to skate. It's also helped me get some tricks back because my nerves aren't too high. Like I was afraid to try 5-0s again because I thought I was gonna slip out, but on the medication I know even if I slam its a short fall and I know that I can do 5-0's all day. Sure enough.
Xanax though is probably why I broke my hand a couple months ago. I was feeling so chill at the end of work I wanted to go straight to this hill and ride down it. I had taken my xanax, I don't think I had smoked weed though, first ride down was smooth. Second time I was blasting music, all cocky, way too chill/fast and lost it. Got served up good. Hand still hurts 2 and a half months later.
Weed makes me feel way too heavy to skate, but if I take a tiny hit of weak cbd type weed with hardly any thc I have fun just pushing around the parking lot doing 50-50's. I can handle a little weed and skating, but it doesn't benefit me. It's something I like to do at the end of a session or if I'm too tired to skate but just want to push for a few minutes after work or something.
Adderall never really made my skating any better. It made my heartbeat too fast and breathing too hard so I didn't like that. I expected it to help me skate better but it didn't, I actually felt worse I think. I feel like I actually lost interest more when I was on it. I started skating a lot more when I got off it.
Alcohol was so fun to skate when I was a kid, I would just go for anything, loved loved loved it, but I only have a couple drinks a year now adays and it's not when I'm skating.
