Best series they've done in a while. The previous two have been rather lackluster.

This is a beautiful series.

And the one off 'Painter' board is outstanding.

Interestingly enough the last two didn't have Soy's art on them.

My point exactly. His art is what sets them apart from everything else.

I don't understand why everyone on here has a hard on for this company, the whole vibe is just missing something, didn't like the shape of the boards when I saw em at the shop either.
This has me cracking up, what exactly does Black Flag have to do with measuring your dick starting behind ya nuts?

Skateboarding is nothing but a game to find the right fits to appear like you're a proportional human being instead of a midget or a giant.

Not sure I follow the 'missing vibe' bit. Did you even read the accompanying text? This series tells a story of how music relates to what they're doing through skateboarding and each instrument on the graphic represents what that particular rider brings to the team. If anything, it's a very well thought out concept and beautifully executed.

It's not meant to appeal to everyone I guess. Maybe something like Life Extension is more up your alley? And I have no earthly idea what you're talking about with regard to the shapes.

The great part about skating is that there is something out there for everyone. If you want to see mind numbing tech lines or death defying stunts, it's out there. Cheap blank decks or generic sport logo rip off series? Also easy to find. Funny how when something like magenta comes along people feel the need to complain about a small brand filling a niche that caters to the smallest demographic in skating and how it's not like everything else out there.
I don't like zero or plan b or dgk but they have there own market and I don't expect to like what they put out but I respect the skating. It's like complaining about music choices for video parts, personal preference. I may not like everything out there, but I'll find a small amount that I do.

this.  if anything, everyone should be psyched on just how wide the spectrum of skating is these days.

...and remember, and I'm not directing this at anyone in particular, that just because you support one company, it doesn't mean that all the others are the enemies.  i.e. you may skate independent shaped decks, but that doesnt mean Girl/Choco (insert other large skater owned brand here) is the antithesis to your being a "true skateboarder"

I love what Magenta does for skateboarding, and I think they put out great content.  But for some reason I never find that the graphics quite click for me.  They represent the company well, and they're "good", but I never like them enough to buy one for myself.

That said this set of one-offs is easily my favorite, and might be the series to change that.  Tengu board is great, as are the Hovin Wang board, and the Carlos Young guest joint. Carlos is sick on a board and great to watch.  might gotta support that.

That's exactly what I mean, the graphics just don't "click" every series looks the same.

I'm not gonna lie, I like LE's team, not crazy about the art direction, had an LE board though, wasn't the best, wasn't the worst.

Nice enough but a bit of a Euro Girl/Choco type vibe. Good but a bit bland.

i have never been a fan of magenta, and have gotten plenty of shit for it here on slap. the graphics are boring as hell, and every series looks the same to me. not into ollie and power slide videos either. i'm not "hating", it just isn't for me. cool they are doing their own thing, and i respect how they started as a small indy company, and have grown so big.
