Stoked Sewa won; it's gonna be the first finals that finally has all brand new people in it; no P-Rods or Mo's or Zigram23's; should be a interesting finals night.
Sewa's got pretty much every trick, but he seems to miss the simple basic tricks a lot here and there (switch heels, switch flips, etc).
His main strategy for winning seems to be that he just pulls out those five or six circusy tricks in a row that no one really has (360 double flips, 540 shuvits, FS bigflip, etc). If Sewa goes first on finals night and just goes straight to these tricks, I can't see him losing.

He either has Asta or Cody for the finals. Asta he has beat; Cody has every circus trick and more.

Would have been nice to see that game go back and forth a little more. Kinda bummed Sewa got weird right from the get go, but Mo had the right idea making him look stupid on those basic tricks (he didn't even roll on that backside flip).

Sewa was at T, he had no choice but to get weird if he wanted to win. Good shit sewa

at this point you shouldnt even go into this "tournament" if you dont have 540 shuvs, double tres, double nollie heels, and the hard flop.

and mo was right about the thing with the "single" tricks, if you have your doubles and 540s it really can fuck up your "normal" game. it is crazy, but mo knows!

oh for the love of god geoff...when will you realize there is a difference between a friendly game of skate to warm up and a competitive game where the whole point is to put out tricks you don't think your opponent will land?

what do you mean? i thought it was obvious that i have conceded that the whole thing is about winning. Skateboarding has evolved and i am right on board. i dont understand why no complies arent allowed though. if you can do a trick and pivot it 180 degrees, you should be able to do a no comply.

some people do that weird thing where their front foot leaves the ground super late.  I'm guessing it'll be harder to judge rather than just flip tricks.  Pivots are subjective too, so I honestly don't know.

I never would have pegged Sewa for the type that would actually bother to learn proper impossibles.

Nothing too circusy in there.

All of those tricks Mo could have suspected, cause Sewa has done them in all the other games.

He should have had the hardflip late fs 180 on lock.

Yeah, those tricks were no circus tricks at all in my book.

Mo knew Sewa has those five or six tricks on lock. Everybody knew. Maybe a fat check from DC makes you lazy after all because I highly doubt Mo lacks the ability to master those double flips or hardflip variations.

I would love to see him win, but once you pull out your f/s and s/w f/s flips it is gonna be a hard one for Cody. Everybody has his weekness, even Cody. I am still shocked how easy he has all those doubles variations ... good look to Cody.
