Steve is pissed. Wish the comments on the petition page were a bit mature.

I cleaned up the petition a bit. I had originally created it at 2am while pretty buzzed.  I don't have Facebok, Twitter, or Instagram, so if you guys want to share it on there go for it.  I also added Berra's email so every time it's signed it notifies him.  So now I'm probably going to be murdered by Scientology as well as banned from the Berrics.

that's just me being respectful of another human's private life.
Really if it's that intimate, why did WB editors even leave that story in the episode instead of cut it? This isn't some rumor that was spread without Chase's permission and somehow caused people to invade his privacy. The kid openly talked about it on video at his own discretion. Which is odd, because he had the presence of mind to do the "no comment" thing to like 3-4 other questions.

How bummed is Berra that the first time he shows up on change.org the petition isn't about him.

It breaks Berra's spirit.

Really though I'm not sure, people can keep signing it until it ends a year from now.

sort of surprising Hewitt can get dropped over a consensual act (as disgusting as it was) by Nike and with Chase their have been no obvious ramifications. Hell Element gave him a board.

I still don't understand this either. Admitting to holding someone down and sodomizing them with a screwdriver is just not a big deal these days.

I thought Hewitt was dropped because of the weed ordeal? Whats this about a disgusting consensual act?

he and his friend did 'the shitface' whereby peter hewitt dropped a turd onto his buddy's plastic wrapped face. no cross contamination but you get to see peter hewitt's bumhole dilate and then turd gets on you.

Didn't he say that they hogtied him?  Not to split hairs, but you know, so there's no discrepancy in the police reports.

I believe he did say he hogtied him, which is way more fucked up.  Even if there was no penetration, that alone is not funny.  I signed that shit, however the letter being sent to Berra is grammatically incorrect a bit.  Whatever, he'll get the point.

Was Chase brutally raped as a child?
Did he witness a brutally long rape of a close friend or family member?
What does Brink think he knows that we don't?
Was that Chase or Berra posting about Slap's biases?
Why won't Chase clear this up?
What could possibly be more shameful than admitting to sodomizing younger boys with a screwdriver that in turn makes the situation ok??
Does Steve Berra give Berrics profits to the church of scientology?
Do we support rape and imprisonment when we visit the Berrics web page?

the only justification i can imagine him using is that the kid did something really horrible connotating the necessity for him to be raped w/ a screwdriver. how people always wish the same thing on whoever they don't like [protest fred phelps funeral, death penalty for killers etc] maybe the kid did it to someone else? i don't know, it's about the only way i can see them spinning the story to make it more palatable. lots of people think it's ok to do bad stuff to bad people [not questioning how doesn't this make you bad too?].

I made a transcript. :D
Quote
Erica:
Tell us about the screwdrivers in your childhood.

Chase:
Whooah

Erica:
Yeah.

Chase:
WHOOAH

Brink:
I love that face.  When we get that face from a guest, I love it.

Chase:
Who did you talk to?

Brink:
Exactly.

Erica:
Grandma and Grandpa.  I already told you, we emailed the whole family.

Chase:
I don't know if I can get into that one...
Oh, basically, when we were growing up we thought it'd be--we thought it'd be funny to tie our neighbors down and shove screwdrivers up their asses and sodomize 'em.

Erica:
Whoa [laughs]

Chase:
Apparently, it's a big thing now days too.

Erica:
Oh, is it?

Chase:
Yeah I [somewhat muffled] (I saw in an article?)

Geoff:
That was in Chicago?

Chase:
Yeah. No, we only did-- It only happened twice.  We also--

Geoff:
It happened twice. Twice.

Erica:
It only yeah, happened twice.

Chase:
We also, uh, took one of my brother's best friends... put him in the dog cage, threw bologna on him and put the dog in there [laughs]

Erica:
[laughing] Oh my god.  How did he manage to crawl in there?  How'd he get in there?  Is it a big kennel?

Chase:
Yeh. It was a-- we had a big dog; a big polar bear type dog.

Brink:
Which end of the screwdriver?

Erica:
He's all messed up.

Brink:
The sharp end?

Geoff:
Both. Twice, the sharp end then [makes hand motion of turning it around]

Erica:
You're talkin about the sharp end??

Chase:
[Nods head] eeh.  I mean I don't know which end you'd prefer.

Brink:
Oh, I'd prefer the blunt end for sure even if it's more girthy.
I don't want anything sharp going up there.

Chase:
Oh you're all about the girth. [laughs]

Brink:
Sorry.

Erica:
Chase prefers the thin--

Geoff:
Bruisin sounds a lot better than rupturin.

Brink:
Exactly. See? He gets it.

Now then; what DON'T we know?

1) Was this the same victim(s) twice or did they prey upon different neighbors the second time?

-It was obviously more than 1 person in all the way he words it, but did they target the same person or even a person from the same family the second time around?

2) It is never said if the victim(s) were male or female.

-No pronoun is spoken to entail such a detail.

3) Was this a consensual act? (Playing Devil Advocate Here)

-If it happened more than once with the same victim(s) involved, it begs the question of why someone would come over a second time unless they were down for whatever was happening to an extent.  Does this excuse the act of tying someone down and sodomizing them with metal tools? No, not at all; but it does put it somewhere in the spectrum of a confused/weird kids playing X-Files scenario more than a borderline snuff film.

-I understand it's completely possible that they just dragged some kids down to the basement and went 8mm on them, and I know that most sexual assaults go unreported.  So it's entirely possible that's what happened.

Conclusion:
If cops were not brought into this somewhere along the lines when even his grandparents were made aware of it, obviously it was swept under a rug by all parties involved except us who should NEVER FORGET.  You don't just tell a story that deems you an unconvicted aggravated sex offender all willy nilly unless there's something fucked up wrong with you and you shouldn't have a job which requires you to film little kids after hours in a secluded warehouse where the lights are usually extremely dim or off unsupervised.

i forgot the details. but after rewatching it on that mediafire link he says " we thought it would be funny to" and it happened two different times. the panty lamp story has me creeped out wondering if it's from date rape victims he screwed. dude is really shady and seems to find cruel things funny

All I'm going to say is, the only thing that you could know that we don't that would make this situation any better would be if he was joking about sodomizing his neighbor with a screwdriver, which is hard to believe that's the case because if it was, 1. you would just tell us and everyone would forget about this shit and 2. you wouldn't have to be so ambiguous about some piece of info you claim to know that somehow makes sense of him claiming to have sodomized his neighbor with a screwdriver. If it did not happen, why not just say so instead of claiming "it's not my story to tell" as if Chase wouldn't be relieved if you came on here and wiped his slate clean by admitting none of this ever happened?
[close]

No, that's not the only thing I could know. And regardless, I doubt anyone is forgetting about this ... no matter what happens.

There are other people out there who know what I am talking about too. It's not just me. So trust me when I say there's more to the story that would change it all.

Gonna bail on this thread. Nothing more I can say. Hate away if you must.

It would be pretty easy and non intrusive to say he didn't sodomize his friend with a screwdriver no?

Brink posted something here along the lines of how he talked to Chase and it wasn't what it sounded like, but he wasn't even gonna try to explain because we wouldn't listen.?  I would LOVE to hear how the whole screwdriver up the butt thing was taken out of context.?  "It was a million in one shot, Doc"

Oh and then in the comments of some picture on Instagram, Brink and some dude who knew the screwdriver victim had an exchange where guy was like:?  "Yea it really happened and he [kid who got the handtool in the pooper] was pretty traumatized by it.?  Yo bro you should totally get The Nuge on Weekend Buzz!!"

I know you remember that shit Brink cmon.

If Chase Gabor put objects up some kids butt against his will, that shit is atrocious.

AH TO B YOUNG AGAIN
[close]

I never said it was a misunderstanding nor did I say it was taken out of context. I said there's more to the story or something to that effect. It's not for me to explain because it's Chase's business. I'm not saying any of this makes sense but it would if you knew what I know. Sorry.

I'm also as surprised as you guys that this episode suddenly disappeared. We haven't taped a Buzz since November and I am kind of out of the loop on what goes on there. Hoping to get the show going again soon. Also, I no longer work at Element ... got a new gig to be announced soon, which is a good thing. And this thread is kind of amazing. Who's going to Tampa? Say what's up!

Brink
[close]

How complicated can it be? If you claim to like Chase as a person, why wouldn't you just say what it is to try and help his case? It's really not that confusing of an issue. I like you Brink, but that's a pretty bullshit answer. It's fine to say you're not allowed to talk about it under a contract or just simply say, hey, I'm just as confused as you guys. It just makes it seem way worse on your side when you keep saying, if only we could know what you know, then it would somehow change things.
[close]

There's lots that would change in this world if everyone knew the whole story. But those stories aren't for everyone to tell all the time. If Chase wants to tell his story, someone can ask him in an interview or he can come here and do it. There are no contracts. I never said it was complicated. I'm not confused. It's simply not my place to say it and that's just me being respectful of another human's private life. You guys can make fun of me, or switch this topic to hating on me all you want ... that's nothing new. The truth is I know the truth and it's not my place to say. And I would hope that some of you understand that. I'm sure you've all done the same thing at some point in your life or I would hope you've at least respected people enough to not spew their business publicly when it's not your place to do so.

Since when was it common for a kid to sodomize another kid with his dad's toolbox?
