I guess Jamie is spinning off $lave into a price point board co for Active (since he rides for them now) but only Jon Allie was cool with that because he's getting paid from the new Red Wing shoes program. Threat is picking up the slack for $lave and Numeric Boards is gonna take over for Mystery. Mumford I guess was over it and got a better deal from Supra for their new board co. Ortiz is the wildcard, since Spectre is fully absorbed into Supra now and he and Weezie are heading up Darkness (or Skate Life, whatever they call it). Muska is art directing it.

The dude who told me all this is the Supra rep, but he's been on point about shit forever. He said that Slave was done due to no board sales and that Mystery only sponsors Tom Asta -- so he's going to Threat. Both brands are done, so Jamie is doing a "lifestyle" brand with Numeric...shoes and boards, like Habitat.

And yeah, the guy who reps Red Wing in LA was at the shop today with samples. They look SICK. Jon Allie, supposedly, and Slash both ride for them but they haven't announced it yet. They have a collab with Leatherman too.

I very much doubt that Mumford is doing any sort of board brand with Supra... Word of mouth from the older era is that Mumford is over it all and is just chilling & living in Brisbane again, but it would be sick if he did decide to stay in the industry in some way or form.

The Supra rep at my friend's shop told me that Muska and Chaz Ortiz and Mumford are gonna be starting a board brand through Supra soon. It's pretty hush right now because of Chad's exclusive contract with Element that says he can't ride for any other board companies. But since Zoo dropped their whole skate program and Slave is shutting down at the end of May, it's all lining up really well for them.

Heard it's gonna be called Darkness or Skate Life.
