He made a skatebible video called foolishness in 2009.  It premiered at one of those skate church things they put on.  video was like 20% skating 80% scripture.  He signed my friends shirt and was  pretty cool. that film singlehandedly made me fully atheist cause it was so fucking boring.
i get the joke it's just not funny and doing school for a long time doesn't make you not a dipshit.

He preaches to the younger generation. Apparently he contemplated suicide a number of times, I haven't heard of him in years but he still skates.

Rowley does something similar, has a californian twang to his scouse accent.
skating is all about choosing your outfit very deliberately, going out in public. looking super sick. and then riding your board a little bit

He was at the opening of a church park in Indy. Cruised around, tried a tail slide or something and fell then sat down for about 30 minutes then stopped the skating and stood on a ramp and gave us his life story, talked about Jesus, asked about who believed in god, etc. Had a pro board for sale there that had Jesus judo kicking the devil in the face. There was also some weird jesusy boy band playing a concert there while we were skating
Edit:someone posted a picture of said board

one step beyond was my first skate video and for my first year or two of skating i obsessed over a few parts from that video. there was a point where sumner was my favorite. i had his board and i painted a picture of one of his adio ads in art class in 9th grade. i havent thought about that in years. ill have to check and see if i still have it at my parents house.

that said, his part in the beginning was painful. i think he skated to the dixie chicks or some shit. that whole video was horrible actually.

Sumner was an awesome skater during his prime. That frontside bluntslide in One Step Beyond was insane. This might be my favorite Sumner part (aside from One Step Beyond):

Brian Sumner-Baker 2G

It looks like he turned weird at some point, which is a real bummer considering he was actually a pretty good skater.

Ouch, that was painful.  My parents actually watched that movie as a comedy even though it was trying to be serious and they told me all about it.  I usually bear through all sorts of stupid skateboarding media because I am such a skate-rat, but that is one of the only things I couldn't stand to watch.

Sounds terrible but I can never take his sermons he gives in his videos seriously because every time he talks he sounds just like geoff rowley. And so I'm imagining rowley saying this stuff and it makes me laugh. Cuz I start remembering that flip part he had where he's got that monologue talking about weird shit and then hearing a sermon, idk just tickles my fancy

This guy has more clips online of him preaching then he does skating.
Dawg is pretty much pushing his beliefs on people at this point.
I'm pretty stoked no one's listening.
Still back the parts before he went crazy, killed his own career.

Him and Simon Woodstock jack each other off in the back of the church every Sunday.

Simon, is it the hair? I always figured you'd be down for the dandies.

Holy fuck that spot was amazing. Is it near the benches that Berra skated in the dvs video?
