if anyone has ever seen the burning, its your generic camp slasher, in one part he takes out like 5 kids with garden shears, pretty brutal

and i think it was called irreversible where this chick got raped, that was pretty hard to watch with friends, and not even because she was getting raped, but it was the same camera shot the whole way through, and you'd have to see it.

dead alive, the lawnmower scene, won't even mention it, but fuck

and fight club where the blonde-haired jared leto gets a proper ass beating, not as violent as so many other films, but it's cool to know that this kid had a role as "the guy who got fucked up" and years later was the vocalist for 30 seconds to mars

no mentions of the curb stomp please, it's pretty much insane but it will always be mentioned. think of some out-of-the-norm ones

The Ju-on, kayako attacking from under the sheets.

The Hills Have Eyes (recent), poorly shot scene of the daughter getting raped by a mutant, the breastfeeding.

Hotel Rwanda, all the white tourists are being loaded onto the bus at the hotel then a group of refugees being led in are denied.

in Saving Private when Melish was fighting that Nazi and gets impaled in the chest slowly.  the gore wasn't noteworthy but the way he pleaded for his life was.

Fucked up:
John Carpenter's "The Thing"... when the alien's head turns into a weird spider... the mouth opening and closing is fucking wicked.

Dawn of the Dead (2004)...  the whole opening of the movie... up until the wreck (as filmed from way up). Also, during the ending credits, the head in the cooler.

Hellraiser 2... the Dr's transformation into a Cenobite.

Cannibal Holocaust... The rodent getting stabbed (real), the killing of the turtle (real), and the dude getting his wang cut off (looked real).

Coolest:
The Cell... when the bad guy first meets J Lo, demanding to know who she is, and as he walks towards her his cape gets pulled off of the wall. Also in the same movie... the horse getting chopped and split into pieces.

Fight Club... when Ed Norton's apartment becomes an IKEA catalouge.

Equilibrium... every fight scene was awesome as fuck.

running scared, when the kid's in the chimo's bathroom, and you see shadows on the wall from someone that appears to be outside, the body type is nothing like anyone living there. they never give a reasoning for it either, a bit creepy.

The opening first 15 minutes of Suspiria is pretty hot; a girl gets stabbed in the heart, then falls through a stained glass roof with a cord wrapped around her neck.  There's about a dozen more harsh death scenes in that movie, like when a blind man gets his throat ripped out by his seeing eye dog.  See the movie, its one of the best horror films of all time.

The eye gouging scene in Fulci's "Zombie" is pretty stellar, as is the scene in "The Beyond" where the little girl gets shot in the head.

One of the funniest is "Pieces".  Its a really bad slasher film thats poorly dubbed, makes absoultely no sense, and even has a scene where a girl gets decapitated while bombing a hill on a banana board.  

The Story of Rikki (Rikki O) is pretty much nonstop gore and cheesy action. Its a live action Anime, and its really bloody and campy like "Dead Alive."

pretty much any Italian (Bava, Argento, Fulci, etc) or Asian (Miike, Tokyo Shock) horror is gonna have more than ample gore.  I've been collecting horror movies for years, and I could seriously go on for hours...


...and Friday the 13th is pretty weak.  Its a direct ripoff of Mario Bava's "Bay of Blood", the 2nd Friday the 13th is even ripped off shot for shot...don't know how they got away with that one.

night of the hunter- when they handcuff the preacher and the kid freaks because it reminds him of his dad.

texas chainsaw- the scene where leatherface busts through the door for the first time. the timing of the cuts is like delayed or beat or something. really unsettling.

i don't know if it would be as effective anymore but when i saw patch adams when i was little the crazy dude killing the girl doctor really got to me.

patton- the opening speech is awesome and when he slaps the dude in the infirmiry for having shell shock. also when he's watching the moroccan (?) army march and he makes a comment about it being a cross between war and hollywood or something. stellar movie all around.

i spit on your grave- the castration and rape scenes are intense.

jason x- freezing the head followed by counter smash.

scanners- dudes head exploding.

2001- basically all of it. hal slowly going robo-crazy. the dude in the spacesuit in the victorian era human zoo. the opening half hour with the prehistoric man. the classical music as these huge graceful space stations rotate. i probably would've found it boring and confusing if i hadn't read the book but kubrick nailed it.

 it was a terrible movie but in pearl harbor when fdr got out of his wheel chair and said "don't tell me it can't be done" or something was pretty rad.

the shining- when you that jack's novel was just nonsense and that he's totally lost his mind. also when that dude shows up to "save the day" and immediately gets an ax to the gut.
