Unnecessary tuck knee is the worst trend.  I saw some tucked shirt/pants dudes in Portland not long back that could barely FS grind a 4.5' wall, but UTL'd after every trick/trick attempt.  To each their own fashion wise, but lest we not forget function before fashion.  I suck, but my shitty style is my shitty style.  Blegghh.  This OS scene pretty much sums it up.

I have no idea why this just reminded me of this, but are you still going with the whole soccer shin guard thing you were doing awhile ago? Can't imagine wearing something so confining to your leg would be fun in that AZ heat.

Yeah all the time. It really isn't that hot & it doesn't confine my leg/ankle at all. It's almost been a full year since I started doing it so it's 100% natural to me. Shorts socks & shinguards are much lighter & than any pair of pants and is overall a lot more bearable in excessive heat. Sometimes if it's REALLY hot I'll go without them & just wear shorts but yeah I can skate in 90+ degree weather in shorts & shinguards for hours as long as I have enough water. Granted I've always been very comfortable in the heat so it might just be me, but I see kids wearin jeans & shit all the time and they look a lot more bothered by the heat than I do. If anything I feel it keeps my muscles loose, my shit used to tighten up all the time while skating during the colder seasons back home in the Midwest

Sobriety? Is that a trend?

The appropriation of Fred Perry polos into fashion will revive the non-racist skinhead hordes rendering rock shows everywhere unbearable.

I'm fine with people dressing however they want. With that said, I hated tucked in shirts when I was 12, 25 years later nothing has changed. I can't run a tucked in shirt.

Late 2k14 early 2k15:

The ironically poor quality,  90s influenced, tumblr-editing style will hopefully shift to the adult-tumblr, art/design,  sophisticated tumblr style. Tumblr,  man.  Sort of in the same vein I hope that Isle blows up and is really successful.

The "lifestyle/personality (read: clothing choice) of the skater is just as important as the tricks they do" thing will be pretty important after all those Strobeck interviews about Cherry.  Didn't Greg Hunt have some quote about Cherry saying,  "Skateboarding just got cool again" or whatever? 15 year old kids will talk about "trying to get some lifestyle stuff" while they're out filming.

Connected to that: People still not caring about Decenzo even though he does the craziest tricks and Thrasher keeps pushing him on everybody.

New York was so 2013.

Culture is the new black in skateboarding so its going to go to Paris and Berlin.

Black turtlenecks and berets are the new look. Think tortured intellectual meets dude thats originally from SoCal.
I like where your going with this. Skaters could start writing poems at skate spots. It be like when skaters rode around with a Bible in their back pocket.

The return of shoegoo.

I found a bottle of shoe goo the other day in my skate related drawer, and decided to go for it since all I can skate in anymore is Vans slip ons. Holy shit! Why did I ever stop using this stuff? My shoes are lasting like three times longer than they should.

Totally backing the shoe goo revival.
