Never forget years ago when a friend gave me a ride when he first purchased his used BMW. Think only a 3 series. Hopped on the freeway then he asks how fast you think we are going. I reply around 70 then he says over 100 mph. Really are the ultimate driving machines. So smooth & stable. However, I have a perception BMWs riddled with problems & require so many repairs. That’s a rad VW SkateMore!

@IusedToSkateMore cheers, it‘s a 1998, i.e. facelift. My dad always has Mazdas, in 95 he had the 626 and that‘s what I learned how to drive with. They are good cars, low maintenance. We also had a VW van with a few buddies for skate and snowboard excursions, until I killed it.

@sometimeperhaps it‘s the facelift 4,4 l V8, arguably the best engine. Almost as powerful as the V12 but less prone to problems. The engine just runs, but I had issues with almost every other part of the car. Still wouldn‘t want to miss it.

I loved that year 7 series, when I worked valet it was one of my favorites because its a huge ass car with some heat under the engine.

I had a '99 E36 and got rid of it in 2012 for an Audi A3...needed a commuter car :(

Just got a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Classic about a week ago, and already falling in love with it. It also helps that I managed to get stuck and had to use 4wd to get out the first day I had it, which I never could have done with my previous car. The only real downside of it I've found is the absolutely terrible gas mileage.

Living in the border, I’ve relying solely on motorcycles for the past 13 years to move around bc it’s super convenient when crossing USA/Mex daily.
I feel I’m ready to finally own a car but i’m an idiot and i’d like to go big.
For example, my “dream” vehicle and number 1 choice is a new Audi S5 that goes for $65k.
My second choice is a hybrid Volvo S60, $42k
And my last option is a VW jetta GTI for $31k
I have great credit and all, but idk I’m not used to make monthly payments for a car. Decisions!

I just want everyone to know that I'm only 32.8% skateboarder, and that's on a good day. The rest is just soy and cum.

Anyone ever go the JDM swap route? Im at a crossroads with my subaru. Headgaskets are seeping hard at 210k miles. Could sell it for a couple grand or shell out a couple grand for a JDM low mileage engine and have the car for another year 10 years.

crx would be ill to come across. this old lady up the street from me has two fairly close to pristine gen 6 civic hatchbacks just sitting in the driveway with clubs on the steering wheel. one white, one teal. they never, ever move.

Have a feeling my car doesn't have much life left in it, not looking forward to having to get a new one and having a car payment again.

Nah, you can beat down until the fabric detaches from the roof. You got this…

I have a vw 1998 beetle , 2008 rabbit, 2009 Jetta in the family all still going. And rusting and fading, the 2.5  liter engine on the rabbit and Jetta is a solid engine.

It was a great car. Super fun drive, great gas mileage and with only the 2 front seats, automatically never had to drive a million peeps around.

I’ve got a ’98 Volvo S70 that I’ve gotten to both love and hate.
Inspection coming next month, we’ll see if she’s a keeper or sold to parts.

2016 S4 6MT. As a manual enthusiast the only other car I'm interested in recently is the Integra Type S but car prices are just stupid right now

The new Type S seems like it would be such a great daily, but yeah, I'll be keeping my 10 year old Civic as a daily for a long time based on new car prices.

I own a girls car with some engine and suspension mods. I’m 45yo and it’s very cheap to run/maintain. It’s fun! In Australia there’s been a big shift in how people look at Hyundai and Kia. They will always be looked down on tho. Oh, I forgot it’s a 6 speed and puts out 183hp which isn’t much. But fun.

The limousine logo Lol

That S3 and Volvo’s are so rad on here.

Sorry… S4. So well modded

Are they WCI rims? I don’t know much about them apart from making some amazing VIP style stuff.

Oh! Just out of interest, what’s the fastest car you peeps been in/driven??

One of my close friends had the most immaculate RX3 4 door with a 13BT that was insanely scary to ride in. He would only turn the boost up late, late at night. It was too much to just to ride in.  I remember thinking that rotary’s were not my cup of Joe. Holy fuck it was fast. Scary, fun, evil even.

Another friend had a 1993 Mazda Familia GTR putting out around 450hp. But my lord he could drive!!!!!! He spent a ton of cash on the suspension, wheels and tyres. My face would freeze!!!

Keen to hear others experiences

I have two manual muscle cars, a 2016 V6 Mustang and a 2013 Camaro 2SS. 3.7L and 6.2L respectively. Mustang puts out around 300HP and the Camaro maybe 400-430.

obsessed with both cars in different ways. both very fun to drive!

Bummed on cars. Got a used fusion hoping it would last years. It was a lemon. Sold in less than a year. Then ordered a new subaru legacy sport. Really like the car. Got rear ended by a fat fuck in and f150. 20k in damages and the car is 6 months old.

Yes they're WCI wheels. They don't have the best rep in the car scene but my wheels were built quicker than expected. Want to go stage 2 eventually but have other life priorities right now. Also picked up a 2015 A3 few months ago since my girls Trailblazer got stolen. Fastest car I was in was an E85 tuned Evo. Holy shit that was fast, E85 burns quick though. Remember me and my buddy driving the car to Wekfest SJ and then going oh shit trying to find an E85 station in the middle of nowhere.

So WCI wheels are ‘kinda’ looked down on???? Some of the most amazing builds have had them and looked like the bee’s knee’s.

My friend owns his own car shop (going on 30 years) and told be to stay away from golf GTI’s and the like, calling them tow trucks bread and butter. 😬

I love how in America (pretty much only in America) that there has always been a Honda Vs VW rivalry.
The closest thing here was Holden Vs Ford.
For so long people in the states were using LS1/2/3’s  and the rest but I’m so glad you (well car YouTubers) have discovered how brutal Ford Barra engines are.

Honda and Ford are the best.
