I mean I can definitely see parallels and similarities between the two, but it seems more like two guys who happen the be into similar styles of clothing and skating coming up roughly at the same time. That's a bit like saying Reynolds was biting Greco real hard back in the day. Or Colin McKay biting Danny Way.

That being said, Austyn has style of skating completely of his own. In fact, similar to Dylan, he has one of the most outstanding styles out there at the moment. He has a completely different trick selection from Dylan. It's way more varied and "technical." Although he came off a bit strange in recent interviews, his personality also seems way different from Dylan's.

i met ben a few times when i lived in bristol and he's just a bit of a dweeb. he tries far too hard to be edgy and all that shit but when he gets picked up on it he gets all red faced and defensive like little girl. he used to be a cool kid before he got on this dylan thing. OH and i don't think he deserves team handsome status, he should be stripped of it and curren caples should be put on because he is way more handsomer. ben is not handsome he looks weird when he poses in photos, like we know he's posing. yes i am jealous too.

I think the difference is that modeling aside Dylan and even Olsen at times are very strong forces in current skateboarding, specially this New York supreme skating that’s big now. Nordberg hasn’t had anything interesting in skating since ever. It’s almost like maybe he should just be a model full time and not kid himself on trying to go pro for Flip at this point. He’d probably benefit more just going that route IMO. Is he the only Am for Flip right now?
