Wait some of the soviet space dogs actually returned safely? That's rad. I never investigated it but thought that all of the dogs just ended up being in space for the rest of thei lives. I have to do some reading.

I picked up an AH Grant Taylor 8.5x14.25 (my first one) and another Deathwish hoodie just because I really like the material and the fit.

I was initially having a bit of remorse for buying more boards since I have a few under my bed but I ended up giving my recent board to a friend who was skating a hand-me-down board that I gave another friend a year ago. Guess that evens it out a bit.

Ended up at Zoomers since they had the BA board on sale and there is a dearth of Polar wheel wells out there. There was an error on their site and the hardware was going for .99, so I stocked up. Tried to share here but it didn't work for another poster. The hardware all shipped individually, for a week I got a separate package each day from a different part of the country with 1 set of hardware. Size 19 carbon footprint and supporting Zumiez, not my finest.

I was in the darkest depths of soft slide wheel madness for a while but I'm okay now. Probably write some long ass post at some point with my take on what I tried.

I got one of these decks as a wall hanger, but it’s in my board queue since it came scratched. Also, I got a beanie from Ampersand Pound but it has a weird fit. It’s shorter than a skully and is probably only good for people with small heads who have little to no hair.

Also, I got some 54mm SMLs on the way that I’m stoked to try.

It’s been a while since I’ve really been feeling a particular setup.  Had two sessions on the Villani egg with 8.75” Ace AF1’s and 53mm radials and for some reason everything is just working for my skating.  Had to pick up a second deck.  Hopefully I’ll stick with this setup for a few months…

Bit of an impulse purchase but I grabbed a warped Zero board today for $25. I’ll probably hate it but maybe it’ll help unlock a few new flip tricks. I was thinking the best use of it would be to run it during winter so I’m not upset if it gets wet (?) and maybe it being dipped will help as well

this is probably it. the colorway is fucking gross but the price is pretty good. asics are pretty underwhelming so it's not really worth paying more than 50% of whatever insane retail price they are asking.

Maybe not an error. Girl hardware went to 99 cents a year ago.  Once a week, all the fresh clearance products get marked down on zumiez and there's a small window to get it before some other nerd. Product like Hardware will linger longer, but stuff like decks and trucks, shoes are gone as soon as they go live. It used to be (i think) Thursday, 8 am West Coast time, but I haven't been into that scene in years.


Zumiez (and other large corps) will fire sale a product if the packaging or SKU changes, even if it's materially the same product.

The shoes aren’t for skateboarding, but I got them from a skate shop. Mostly stoked on the AA trucks.

When these hit the clearance sections, I’ll double up except for the wheels.

Had back issues all winter due to work, then broke my wrist right before Christmas so in order to most likely hurt myself again come the spring (it snowed yesterday here in Ontario) I bought a local companies version of a 90s football shape to play around on...and some reds and a bearing puller to add to the non-essential purchase total.
