For my birthday I bought a mystery deck from my local shop then told them to give it to the next kid who needs one.

They just posted the vid of surprising the kid and I throughly enjoyed hearing the surprise and stoke in their voice when the deck was handed to them.

Here's hoping I can overcome my truck madness and decide what to pair with it.

I got that same deck when Primitive had it for sale for $23 and ultimately gave it to a friend. I couldn't see myself wanting to be tied to a single shape, however, a friend owns that and the Krooked Manderson and measured/mocked them up and his III is the exact same dimensions and possibly a hair steeper nose. So if one works the other should as well. He's an Engineer and even used a contour gauge to confirm the "fingers of flat" is the same and the WB on both matches up perfectly.

I've a manderson on hand, Dim-wise they're pretty close, but when gripped, very different shape (mandy is squared off nose and tail the prim is much more rounded). Think my mandy was a II.


WB def don't line up with mine, enough diff were I could not line up bolt holes and get bolts through all of them (thankfully as I wanted a shorter but not short short WB).

Yah he was able to easily line up the bolt holes and put bolts through all 8. Measurements were spot on. Probably some variance in the molds/pressing. Hope either of those work for ya!

Purchased this Richard Rizzo deck and some more Fastbreaks.  The Fastbreaks are my favorite skate shoe.  This is my third pair in a row.  My only complaint is that I wear through the bottom of the sole a little quickly.

Just received this Quasi Proto from Orchard.  8 x 31.63 with a 14 inch wheelbase.  I had no idea they made this shape - I thought all of their 8 inch decks had the 14.25 wb.  Pretty mellow, shorter tail.  This thing was made for Venture los.  So stoked to set it up.

i noticed they seem a lot more sturdy.. ive had about 9 pairs and they're all good just noticed ones with mesh seem to get more flimsy after a couple weeks

No, it is 8 for sure.  With a 14 inch wb.  I checked when I got it.  Might be an Orchard exclusive.  That is the only place I could find it when I searched.

I want to try one of thier boards, but due to shitty customs/shipping, it's a bit expensive to ship (I've wanted to try Hopps for awhile as well, sale issue) so I was hoping I could load up on t shirts & hats to justify the costs.

Fuuuuuck. Full se is my favorite mold. Have only had 8.5s but have since been skating a couple 8 and 8.25 decks with 14WB. That shit looks like a wet dream.

Yeah I'm holding back setting it up because it just looks so good.  IV on the top stamp which makes it even better.  I'm curious about deluxes 8.12 shape. That has a 14 inch wheelbase if I'm not mistaken...

That's exactly why I prefer the mesh versions. The 1010s are a shoe that I need to be a bit more malleable than not.

Usually Deluxe 8.12 shape is 32 long with 14.25 wb.
8.12 with 14 wb is released less often so be careful when ordering online.
