Grabbed these for $25 from the DC sale a week or two ago and they got here last night. Feel pretty good, I was looking for a lightweight vulc with a little more padding than my vans AV rapidweld lites and these seem to fit the bill. Insole is really comfy but thin, although it seems like there's a lot of padding built into the footbed. Tread looks nice and the sole is pretty flexible right out of the box so I doubt there's going to be much of a break-in period. I don't think I've ever skated a DC vulc, so I'm looking forward to trying them out today.
Only regret is that I read somewhere that DCs run big so I ordered 11.5 instead of 12. They are nice and wide but still a little tight, but hopefully they'll stretch out a little after a few sessions.
Al's got another set of $11 creative urethane wheels, these ones are 54mm 99a conicals and seem to be seconds from orbs apparition splits. Really good wheels, not quite F4 quality but not far behind. Cant see anything wrong with them so I'm guessing they just didn't like how the swirl turned out or something.
