Graffiti is cool to see out in the city and shit, but the parks I go to are littered with some absolute garbage. Does anyone else have to put up with SHITTY graf from kids who don't know what the fuck they are doing????

My local park is a DIY allowed by the city. I've seen some amazing graffiti there, we had Beavis and Butthead on a 6 ft quarter until a church group came and painted over it. It was then tagged by someone who picked up a spray can for the first time and wrote "Freedom" not in any special way, just wrote it. Other gems that were tagged at the park, pornhub.com, again just sprayed for no reason and a giant weed leaf on one of the only things that you can see when you drive by. I'm all for graffiti just keep that complete garbage elsewhere.

Not too hyped on it to be honest. Skatepark surfaces are slippery enough so spray paint doesn't do them any favors. Also what Good Burger said its a quick way to get your DIY/skate spot shut down.

Most of the parks in Colorado have the graffiti removed or the park is shut down while the graffiti is removed.  So, not a big fan of that.  However the Sheridan park always has poorly drawn phallusi which I am a fan of.

There's always good & bad examples. I remember the big park in davenport, Iowa had a bunch sick pieces all over the place before they removed everything for a contest or some shit. Always loved the vibe there. i know they repainted some shit the last time I was there a while ago but it's not the same.

'good' graffiti can fuck off or at least do that shit criminally. that said, i love dumb assed pisspoor graffiti at skapeparks. the first time i wrote 'shark tits' was on a wallride we built, in neighboring suburb of 'grafton' there was a double sized slant bank that someone wrote 'piss your pants ramp' on. that shit was too funny. i wish more people would run funny stuff at skate spots and not try to be art fag. these peurto rican guys go to wormside every sunday and they're good at what they're doing but it's barely tagging. like the cops don't care about you scribbling on the wall or the cement ramps but do you really need to scrawl some jibber jabber about 'live creatively'? i was just skating to walmart but your inspirational grafito changed my life, yo.

I love the funny phrases written in sharpie with shitty handwriting that skaters write. The full on murals or anything with spray paint is always stupid though.

seems like if you're bothered by it you should just go and paint over it instead of complaining on an internet message board. typical SLAP attitude to complain about something trivial and easily remedied.

absolutely. Ide rather complain on the internet to you than do anything productive about a problem that is has a temporary solution to.

The graffiti at the park I go to is all gang stuff, it's bad and the grammar is hilarious. The other park I like to go to is caked with it, making it super slick and that shit gets on your clothes when you fall.

A lot of city parks clean up graffiti from what I can tell. Why not go to a different park if you're so bothered by it and not in the mood to paint over?

I don't know which is worse, the Zero Cole graphic in this photo or the 'art' defacing these transitions.
