Finally got to see it. Really good, obv. Greg Hunt nailed it. Everyone was killing, but I gotta say Rowan Zorilla.... Wow.

It was a struggle to get this shit though. Amazon and Google links wasn't available in my country. Couldn't download on itunes due to a billing problem with my account. Got my girlfriend to gift it to me, but I still couldn't redeem the fucking gift code cause I owed itunes money. Had to set up a fake apple id and redeem the code from there. Jesus christ.. But it was well worth it though.

All I wanted in life was to go home and watch it after working 32 of the last 48 hours, of course my itunes got all fucked up and amazon and google play wouldn't sell it to me since im in europe. Just went through it for the second time. Fucking Elijah Berle is gnarly... This part did him way more justice than his pretty sweet part. People wasn't talking much of Chima's part, so I didn't know what to expect, but god damn he went hard. His part is like 80% switch too.

Rowley had maybe the most death defying trick in the video with the 5050 on the bridge. Still fucking fearless after all these years.

The late shuv count is up there. I'm fine with that.

Only (kind of) negative thing about this video is actually the soundtrack. Not that it was bad or anything, but pretty bland (at least to me). It'll be on repeat for awhile now though, so maybe the songs will grow on me.

Gilbert, just so fucking good, goddamn.  I got too into his second song and kept zoning out grooving to it.  

Dan Lu, killed it I've been sleeping on him.

Chima, not a fan of his skating usually but I have so much respect for how hard he went for that part.

Rowan, OH MY FUCKING GOD!!!!!  I clasped my mouth in shock multiple times during his part.  

Pedro, some of those lines he did just defied physics.  Skating Crete parks like a Vert Ramp hella dope.

AA, holy fuck that was awesome so much style.

Dustin Dollin, 10th grade me is creaming himself.  Dollin did not disappoint, one of my favorites growing up.

Kyle Walker, meh again.  I just wanted it to end so I could see AVE's part.  

AVE, completely exceeded the hype I had for his part by ten fold.

Video was sick. I liked Dan Lu's part the best, I think it's sick they put his cover trick in Gilbert's part. Gilbert killed it. AVE killed it. K walker is way better than I ever thought. Would've liked it better with more Dill and Johnny Layton but overall it was a great video.

My shop said a book and DVD combo would be sold during the summer. Initially, I was told no hard copy release but I guess that meant no simultaneous release.

On a side note, if anyone knows what software removes ITunes lock please PM. The software I used for pretty sweet and cliche video is no longer working. I just want to burn a hard copy of the digital I already purchased.

Skating was awesome and I'll watch it over and over because of it.

I do have a lot of complaints about the video though, starting with the way that I thought the edit made the video feel; Underwhelming and Incohesive.

I feel it might be, in part, because (at least on the television I watched it on and on my computer later) the skating sounds weren't that loud in comparison to the music (some of the shots, long lens especialy felt muffled; maybe a lot of the shots were filmed HPX/HVX without external mic's and this sounds bad/tinny when loud? I don't know much about HD...), but also there were a lot of points in the video where I felt like things were moving way too quickly/couldn't hear any noise from the clip itself. I get there is a broader audience that you have to cater to and the world has a shorter attention span but fuck, half the reason why people take five years to make a whole video is so it doesn't feel like yer on the internet getting forcefed part after part (someone mentioned this earlier).

I thought the intro was brilliant in showing the evolution of skating (vans has always supported skateboarding doo doo doo) through vans riders, but some shots could have been prefaced with more context in my opinion. Again, I think time to take in some of the last tricks/part a little more/showing a little more substance of the riders before moving on to the next one would have done the video good. Breathing time. As soon as I saw an ender I barely had time to process it before another guys part had already started fullswing. They somewhat tried it with the alva commentary for Rowley's part but it felt out of place to me since it was the only place with a large break (aside from pfanners intro, which I thought was nice).

...I did think Trujillo's, Pfanner's, Daniel Lutheran's, "Double AA"'s, & Ave's felt natural and supple.

In sum,
            main complaint: sound
            secondary complaints: fast and bland
            main theme for all complaints: inconsistent (the things I complained about didn't occur the entire time, but enough to really bug me)

Good point, didn't consider that when getting riled up and going on a rant. I read that Greg Hunt interview on concrete skateboarding (http://www.concreteskateboarding.com/?p=28941) and it seemed like there were a lot of challenges towards the end in getting it how he would have liked it, seemed tough. Still, fifteen seconds between each part (which is more than enough spacer time between parts if you did it right) would only add another 3.5 minutes to the video. I'd watch a 57 minute video over a 54 minute video anyday if it means I can enjoy it more.

Echoing what others have said, Daniel Lutheran's part was a great vibe. Perfect song choice for his skating. He puts down some hammers and makes them look smooth and casual.
