board size and shoe size?
« on: January 09, 2015, 08:35:30 AM »
do any homies here have small feet and skate wide boards? I am wondering because I am a size 7 and skate a 7.75inch and wanna move up to 8inch because it's so hard to find 7.75s these days since most shops carry 8 and up. I also want to start skating bowls and shit so I would probably need a wider board anyway but wondering if any homies here skate wide boards with little feet.

also post your board size and shoe size. thanks homie!!!!!!!!

I had the opposite problem in the late 90's. size 13 and boards were all smaller than 7.75, it was near impossible to walk into a shop to buy a deck. Right now i'm riding a 8.25

Size 12 and ride 8.5 decks, works for me but I don't do a lot of flip tricks now (being 40 might have something to do with it). Back in the day 'tho, I mainly rode 8.18 and 8.25 size decks, flip tricks came easy and didn't have any issues, seemed to be a comfy size.

8" board and 81/2 shoes. Nearly over a year ago is when I started riding 8 wide boards. Basically was forced out of the smaller sizes since the companies I ride stopped making them

The bigger your feet the smaller your board should be. And vice versa... people with little tiny feet shouldn't ride anything smaller than an 8.57

I'm riding an 8.5 right now and my shoe size is anything from 7 to 9 depending on the shoe. Works a treat.

Recently I skated a 7.5 a friend had, it was like skating a toothpick. Sizing up is not a huge deal, but sizing down is all kinds of fucked up.

Shoes= 10.5  board= 8.375  trucks=Indy's 149. I mostly skate rails though. I have an 8" sitting here that I wanna try to get better at tech shit. I have some Provost zeppelin thunders (147) on my 8.25 backup board. Anyone know if the 147's are too big for an 8"? I tried it for a day but don't remember.

Size 11 shoes on an 8.5; Jordan Hoffart has size 9 shoes and skates 8.5 so it's pretty much just personal preference.
