I'm wondering... there's people (not me btw) that don't believe in rails' frontside overcrooked, they just call it Fs nosegrind.

Is it the same as fs five-0 and fs salad on rails?

2nd vote would be for PJ. sometimes it is a fine command of the english language to say nothing and he extended that to skating. PJ's plan B part is the emperor's new clothes.

No, depending on if the board is tweaked toward the rider or over the obstacle, it's a Suski or Salad
example. i cant cast a spelll or love potion on a girl and she falls total in love for me
but i can show a girl my tv youtube clip on my or her phone. but there's a difference ok

Yea you're right about suskis my b.

What would you call a 'backside salad' though?

Umm...a backside salad?  Those are less common and need the board to be super tweaked though.

Also, there is no such thing as a frontside overcrook on a rail.

I also liken FS overcrook and FS suski, because they don't exist and are just tweaked FS nosegrinds/5-0s.  However, have you ever gone for a front tail and locked into an insanely tweaked FS 5-0?  Seems like a different enough trick sometimes that it could have had it's own name back in the day, but I accept it is just a failed tailslide as well hahah!

salad grinds remind me of the matt allen, leo romero, vinny vegas era of the early 00's, gross stuff. that dressen pic makes 'em look beautiful though.

This is all right on-point. I could never lock into a proper 5-0 on a round bar so I did backside salad grinds instead, board pointing up, more than half-way up toward blunt position and it's super easy to hold. Didn't Gravette backside salad the old El Toro rail?

I always wanted frontside salad grinds, could never do them well unless it was a square bar, 2-3 inches wide. For whatever reason that worked, still only on the best of days.

There was never a such thing as fs overcook until THPS. Video games got these kids all confused.

Front and backside salad are to front and backside blunt, as to where a suski is to a back tail. A front 50 tweaked like a front tailslide is just a 50. Abq's Bryant Chapo did a Front Salad down El Toro for a goodwood ad several years ago.

It was the last trick in his first Creature part:

I was never into Matt Allen's skating but I love the one he did down hollywood high. Gnarly trick for the time too.

I also liked Malto's first line in his through being nice part. The whole video was sick:

Do people really try these tricks?  To me a salad/suski/whatever is just what happens when you screw up a blunt/5.0/tail slide.  I've done a ton of Suski grinds, but never actually tried for one.  They do feel nice though.

nope, it's a fact. younger generations (like the youtube kids) might believe this trick exists, but it does not.

a fs overcrook is the same thing as a fs indy grab on tranny. it's called a frontside air, so a fs indy grab does not exist (just like a fs overcrooks)

If you can do it, you can call it anything you want. So I guess bs 180 to sw bs smith can't be done, it can only be called a Bennett. And a tweaked 5-0 can't be done, it has to be called a Suski even tho people have done them way before Suski. And a salad doesn't exist either, it can only be called a dressen.

At a Toy Machine demo I was at a hundred years ago I saw Donny Barley blast from a 3.5'-4' tall launch ramp up to f/s salad to fakie on a 8' quarter.  To this day it's still one of the gnarliest things I witnessed in person.
