Best Schoolyards in LA
« on: February 17, 2015, 08:18:24 PM »
What schoolyards in Los Angeles still see heavy traffic on the weekends? I'm new to the area.  Santa Monica Courthouse was rad. Got kicked out of JKwon within 30 seconds. Looking for the best schoolyards to skate lines.

its pretty gentrified now.  You can still be touched tho. Im a black man and i try to get out before night fall but its relatively ok tho.  i kinda look like a gang member to them tho due to my tattoos and build so who knows?

bryan filmed his stay gold part at a number of places.  a few of those lines tho was at gardener. i guess link his vid and put the seconds and i can try and figure out what school your referring too.

Its up, just not on Youtube or Vimeo. Luckily Dailymotion doesn't respond to taking things down that fast

The one with the green ledges looks like Eagle Rock High in Northeast LA.
There are some really fun tall almost ledge curbs to skate behind the school too.

Selma Ave Elementary was the best when I lived in the Hollywood area. Not sure if the tables are still there though.

Someone told me that brown colored ledges are at bethune middle school. Looks like I'm going to have go see for myself. I did see Sewa in a clip skate those recently, so if its there they should be skateable.

First is Bethune Middle School on 69th and Main. The houses across the street look nice but watch your shit at this spot. It’s not as bad as it used to be but it’s still 69 East Coast Crip neighborhood.
Second is Eagle Rock High School but idk the status of that hubba. There is usually a rail on top that gets cut to make it a Hubba.
Never been to the Albertson ledge but I know it’s in the valley( I think on the WestSide of the valley).

Herman’s lines are split between gardener and Selma ave. Some other cool schools for tables are temple school(Betty Plasencia Elementary) it’s the one with the 8 stair Dylan has a line in cherry. Aragon Elementary has the spot where you put the table down the bank, neck face Boardslide in baker 4. Lorena st elementary has the bigger black bank to small bench like Lockwood just a bigger bank. A heads up for anybody unfamiliar with LA Schoolyards all the famous table spots are Elementary schools because the tables are smaller than middle/high school.

Went to bethune today. At first I thought I just hopped 2 fences for nothing because there was very long ledges completely skate stopped, then went further down and 2 of the planter ledges were skateable. A bit rounded, but they grind well. Had a good sesh.
