Searched for a Reese thread and nothing showed up so here it is! The official Reese Forbes Appreciation thread.

Some great stuff here and a quality interview:
http://chromeballincident.blogspot.co.uk/2014/02/chrome-ball-interview-70-reese-forbes.html

Two fantastic parts:

His skating ages well.
I'm going to argue that Placebo owes their entire career to a Canadian dude's skate video part. Appleyard should be getting royalties for this shit.

can't find a good sequence displaying how he kickflips, but it always looked so crazy how un-angled his front foot is for the flick. he pulls it off somehow.

They should stay making Reese Forbes decks like they do for Steve Cab or Rodney Mullen or whoever. I'd buy one.

What a great part. I remember being blown away someone could switch 360 flip so confidently

The Johnny Cash song fits so perfectly with Reese.

Love it. I'm seriously glad this thread has seen some love too, Forbes needs all the love in the world! As far as I'm concerned, this guys' skating is unhateable. Sick style and some great trick/ spot selection.

He may work well with Johnny Cash but the Quicksilver part with 50-cent seems so fucking perfect.

Really enjoyed his element world tour stuff (underrated video all around)

was bummed that he lost his Ollie challenge. I liked his tall style

Skated some of those Vita Natas shoes, 3 pairs in a row, they were weird but super comfortable

From the Bored Generation 1996 cd-rom. I know this is pretty much all warm up/throw away footage but there aren’t many Reese parts out there. Enjoy.

Which video was it that he skated to a Sting/Police song?
I always loved that part, if I recall correctly he does the coolest looking backside powerslide in that part.
Dude skates with so much POWER.

Yep. The powerslide at 1:22 looks so goddamn cool.
Very rare for a flat ground powerslide to stand out in my mind for 20+ years but here we are.

This came out a few months ago - not sure if it made the rounds on slap, but seems fitting to drop here.
