Next editor, so after Burnett?
He's basically editor now.

But if we could pick, I'd want Larry Perkins or 1992's Earl Parker. Let Thrasher go out like a supernova.

His face announces his retirement every time he appears in public.

I assume that Burnett does a lot more of the editorial work now, and that Phelps now serves as more of a sort of figurehead for the mag.  I could be wrong, though, seeing as how that's based entirely on speculation.

i feel like thats the case. maybe they tell phelps he does the work and he just doesnt remember doing it

I predict Alex Olson is going to take the helm and return the mag to it's roots of being a gay porn rag for skaters

But it's already gonna be Jim Greco. Hammer report was the interview. Jim Greco is going to be the next face of Thrasher.

It's a good question.
My random list:
Jim T.
Grosso
Bryce K.
Lucero

My God, that would be dreadful.  Half of the magazine would be editorial rants, describing why skateboarding is great, but would read more like a European furniture description at a high end Scanda store written by an assistant high school football coach.

Han solo blew up the Death Star in Episode 4.  Heard it from a friend.  Reliable source.

Not sure who it'll be, but here's my list of some that would be really funny to see, regardless of the fact that most of them would drive it into the ground in 3 months:

Scott Kane
Mike Vallely - would turn it into an even less readable version of what Scott Kane would try to do
Daniel Castillo
Clyde Singleton - unreadable yet still funny somehow
Rick Howard
Brian Wenning
Dylan Rieder
Tinker Hatfield
Elon Musk
are you kidding me? we'd have legit hoverboards in three months if musk took an interest in skating.

Thrashers that clothing and hat brand right, my niece likes those guys.

But seriously I think Phelps has done a pretty good job, they seems to be killing the online game, mags still out there, merch is killing it. Not too shabby for someone who comes across as low a functioning alcoholic person.

not 100% certain as to why I thing this (because I'm a low functioning alcoholic person) but something about Tim O'connor running it sounds awesome.

I feel like I've heard a rumor about Cards being next up enough times that for some reason I assumed it was truth. Looking at this thread definitely makes me doubt it though.

Dave Carnie is Thrasher editor-in-chief material for sure.

Are you serious? Carnie is little guns. Dude can't even hit the tiles.

Now if only I could find a scan of the Big Brother article making fun of Thrasher.
