Jesus i should’ve put money on the nats winning the NL pennant....

I should have put money on my Oakland A's losing the wildcard. Always and fucking forever. Rooting for the Nats to win it since I hate the Astros and Yankees with a passion.

Great ending to a badass series, that LaMahieu home run to tie was nuts, then Altuve ends it in the perfect way...

Seriously such a great game.  Yankees didn't go down easily, but the best team clearly won that series.

Nats vs. Astros is gonna be a pitching duel like nobody's business.  I have no clear favorite, both teams deserve it.

This has been such an interesting series to watch so far. First time in major sports history (NBA, NHL, MLB) where the road team has gone 6-0 against the home team.

Who does everyone have for game 7? Currently bandwagoning the Nationals right now.

What's up homies, from a town near DC! Holy cow, what a series indeed. The away-game mojo is really something ... and Scherzer the Barbarian is back for game 7 ..... this is gonna be good. I of course am rooting for the Nats, but damned if the Astros aren't a team to reckon with. Get your popcorn / peanuts ready and let's play ball!

Un-fucking-believable series. Having the home team not win a single game will probably never happen again, in my lifetime at least. Huge congrats to the Nationals and all their fans in DC! Go nuts, you deserve it.

Didnt have dog in this fight but had the Astros in 5... didn't see this coming.. not one bit.

What a world series though, hats off to the nats, and the astros for what it's worth.

My only solace as a Cubs fan is knowing somewhere Bryce Harper is crying.

That was a hell of an ending for this World Series. Even though they were up by 4 in the 9th, it had me on the edge of my seat. That last breaking ball was dirty but had me breathing a sigh of relief. Had no dog in the fight myself since the Dodgers choked, but both the Nats and the Astros put up a great fight.

A beautiful paragraph from the Post this morning...

Such a cool night for the family over here. My mama was crying tears of joy at the final pitch. It's a very unreal, and transformative moment for the local baseball community here. People have rallied as much as the team has. Baby shark mojo baby, haha.

Great series, congrats to the Nats.

Once again, the over-eagerness of the manager pulling the starter caused a collapse.  Goddamn reliance on the bullpen is the worst thing to happen in baseball since sabermetrics.

well... since you asked....

Not much more to add to it that hasn't already been said.  Although i do NOT think the Astros deserve to get their title taken away, there definitely needs to be an asterisk there (a lot of asterisks in the baseball record books these days).

The whole thing is pretty absurd... amazing how you could win a world series and jump around at home plate and dump champagne over your buddies, knowing that you had to cheat to get there.  To me, it's no more clear how the sign-stealing worked to their advantage then if you watch the home run Altuve hit against Chapman.  He knew the change up was coming, teed off like it was batting practice and told everyone not to remove his shirt.  The Yankees have the biggest gripe.

Quick note....  the Dodgers need to stop fucking crying.  In the 2017 WS against Houston they lost two games at home,  including game 7 where they scored 1 goddamn run... so they had opportunities to win and they blew it.  They've lost 3 straight world series' and blew the NL championships the previous 2 years.

Cody Bellinger set a WS record for strikeouts in 2017. If anyone, he needs to be quiet.

Hey more Astros getting in trouble..pitcher just suspend 162 games for PEDs.

Baseball can't get out of its own way.
But 3 batter minimums for pitchers next year!

MLB really blew it by taking this long to come back actually. It's
the easiest major sport to bring back because the pace and relatively infrequent contact with other players. They could've earned a new generation of fans because everone is inside & nothing else is on, but now they're about to compete with the fucking NBA for attention. Straight up clowns running that league.

No doubt competing with the NBA will be a problem especially with older fan retention and earning the viewership of the Gen Z generation. Also agree that the league is steeping with incompetence from the higher-ups. It will be interesting to see how well this new format goes. If it sucks then it sucks, but at least its better than not having a season at all.

My beloved A's made the postseason again. Can't wait to see how they blow it again this year! ;D

Looks like everyone else is locked in as well. Playoffs start tomorrow. If your team is in it this year then good luck to ya! (except if you're an asterisks fan).

Jesus.

That was one of the best games of baseball I have ever seen.

Watched the first few innings last night before bed and for some reason this morning we decided to watch the rest of the game over breakfast rather than check the final score. Very happy with that decision.

Cant wait for tonight, GO JAYS RAYS!  ;)
