the industry can talk all the shit on the slap message boards they want. but, this is a memorial in itself, and shows that it hits most everyones heart who can skate and takes time outa their day to pay sentiments to one of the gnarliest dudes out there. he really does look completely different, and it hurts to see that shit. im a skinny ass dude, and I didn't even get that thin inmy heroin days. it still baffles me to this day how this kid put together any sort of video part while dealing with substance abuse. that goes against the grain of nearly everyone I know whos battled it. kid is a trooper and there is no god if he doesn't pull through. yea I said it
jim and dan, while not on any dylan sort of level can skate pretty damn good on opiates. he weaseled and dieseled a nollie heelflip fs noseslide last night.
ya can't go right after doing a shot but once your rush fades away you can get it in. i'm not 100 when i'm skating jammed but i can do most of what i do soberly. dylan is just operating at a higher thetan level than us to begin w/ so opiates don't set him back too much.
also, who knows how much he was really doing? might be exaggerating for romantic, myth purposes.
exhibit C anti hero. julien drinks shitty king cobra malt liquor and still gets it in. because it's legal alocohol is more accepted and has had more empirical data collected on it. whereas i believe the only 'performance enhancing' drugs to be speed and hallucinogens i do believe someone who drinks or takes poppy derivatives on the regs is gonna be able to skate, raise kids and operate machinery under the influence of their substance of choice.
