I never heard that expression... What i found on google is that classic shoes, usually black, that you can wear with almost everything, like this:

"Smart" usually refers to a piece of clothing that is very versatile and can be worn in a lot of different situations, made to look dressy or casual, depending on what it's paired with. For instance classic pair of good fitting jeans, grey dress slacks, a white dress shirt, etc.

I pretty much just wear the normal Old Skools as my non skate shoes for just chilling and life.

I used to ball exclusively in Iversons Now I just play in whatever is cheapest but still has good support I currently don't have a pair though.

In England smart shoes are the the best shoes you own, which depending on the person differs greatly. For example the shoes that I think are my smart shoes are some black leather Clarks brogues with slippy leather soles (not that comfortable and dangerous in the wet), that get worn to interviews for permanent jobs and the one wedding I went to.

Can anyone recommend some decent shoes for standing/walking all day? I've really only worn Vans my entire life or boots to work in. Just something cheap and comfy, that's pretty low-key? Not all tech and sporty or euro looking. Those grey Nikes posted earlier look pretty sick, but are probably expensive and maybe for running? I have no fucking clue. Do these even exist?

You can get some Roshe's. They arent that expensive and are pretty low-key with no bells or whistles, really comfy too. Try some black and white that goes well with everything.
