I'm going to be 40 in a couple weeks, so that is elderly as far as the average skater's ages. "The Gentleman" is my nickname in darts. I play darts in national tournaments (yeah, that's actually a thing) and everyone has nicknames. No, I did not give it to myself.

Early 2000's Huf, Bici and a bunch of other NY dudes were crashing at my friends house while they here in Australia.

We took them to all our spots and it really tripped me out how fast Huf skated in real life. He would take about 5-6 extra pushes when he was skating up to something. It made everyone look like they were skating in slow motion. I was an instant fan. (Well I was always a fan) The videos really don't do him justice.

He kickflipped this bank gap that no one in my city had even ollied or even tried to ollie. The photo ran in slap and was hella small. I thought it deserved to be the cover ffs.

Anyway his leg muscles were fucking HUGE!!!!!

Started off as Yo! Mr. Hapredingli because I saw Yo! MTV raps while I was signing up and then Hapredingli sounded like a modern swiss reformer and that seemed like just about what I assumed was cool in America back then. After I met too many pals IRL I wanted to become anonymous again so I could share my pathetic and failed attempts at sexual relations more freely and decided to change name. An avid fan of then successful musical SLAP ensemble Tennis Practice I wanted to compliment the imagery of cold budweisers with that of nice weather while at the same time keeping the name bland and forgettable so as to nicely stay off the radar.
