This thriller film When a Stranger Calls had some Listen decks amongst other skate relics + some pretty neat potential skate artist work on the wall, and a fresh shorty's complete in what was supposed to be a kid's bedroom.

Provided the setups for this spot recently.

PRod tosses his deck in the trunk at the end but the "stunt" decks are all mine. Kinda fun. Paid for a new run of Bru decks so thanks PRod

Cool ad

Wonder who directed it?

Seems like something Ty or Jake Rosenberg might do

I'm not sure who directed.
I was not the onset for this, just provided the decks.
I had a previous job conflict which is too bad cause it would have been semi fun.

I sell a lot of decks to commercial productions. Basically run a closed door skateshop.
I'm already art department so I can hand my card out and I can release the Bru graphics for legal. I also provide full pro setups to rider spec cause skaters and talent will bitch about pretty much anything, this cuts down on that.

Did the Justin Bishop Ruffles ad recently (terrible terrible edit but hey) and the Facebook/Meta No Comply ad

Well its not the full time thing at all just a way to basically feed Brujaria as a passion/art project.
I got the idea when I was renting props and saw all the bunk skateboards they had (all Powell, someone at SkateOne knows this hustle) but they have neon green griptape and stuff like that.
I used my contacts in the skate industry to set up accounts with a few brands I have a personal connection with and I buy at wholesale and sell at more or less retail to productions.
Im not the only game in town for sure, LA Skate has a giant "SKATEBOARDS" sign in Hollywood so a lot of people go there, but Dave is super hip to this and overcharges. Also theres the legal issue with graphics and logos, prop masters dont really want to get clearance on everything. I own the graphics to my brands decks so the clearance is included. I also sell a lot of blanks too, or do quick custom graphics with client art. I usually talk to the skate talent to see what decks they want, usually its just a width question. I use Ace trucks and Acid wheels so its all pro level shit.

Either way its a fun little side hustle. Lots of skaters in the film biz too. The heck else you gonna do when you live in LA with neck tattoos and a resume of jumping down stairs?

Child's Play 2. About 14 mins in the kid has Dogtown sticker on his doorframe and looks like another inside his closet. Altho seems to have a Nash setup.

Anybody watch winning time on hbo? The opening montage features a bunch of various 80's B-roll. One shot is a skater ducking under a fence then mooning the camera . Some of the montage footage looks recreated to look like the 80's or are scenes from the show but this shot looks original. Anybody know who it is/what it's from? The shot is at 41 seconds.

For some reason I think it's Paul Constantineau at Paul Revere

From a 2009 flashback episode of Gossip Girl set in 1983: an anachronistic Thrasher sticker (that Motorhead design wasn't offered yet) and an era-appropriate Indy sticker. XOXO
