How Dill stay on vans?

Layton is sick but Dill is a much bigger name and is pretty much on legend status. Between Cherry, random interview and FA he keeps his name out there. It'd be like questioning why Gino is on Nike, Stranger on Vans Syndicate or Arto on NB# as all three are borderline retired (at least in stacking enough footage for a full part) but are still big names with huge fanbases. Also, really glad to see that footage of that Pulaski ollie, so sick.

I did not expect this part to be as good as it was.  I thought that it would be some throwaway stuff that they put up on The Berrics just to get it out there and call it a day, but there was no reason for this not to be in the video. 

It's not even like he quit Vans part way through or anything.  I'm very confused now.

The front blunt down the hubba was begging for a second angle.  His back foot looked so sick on that.

I've always enjoyed Layton.  I hope if he wants to still be a pro skater he can do that through this part.  Kelly Hart is a team manager but he still just went pro right?  He can do both with how much footage other "pros" put out.  Or if he just wants to have fun and not wound his ass I can dig that to.

Until Propeller Layton was a legend for Vans. Good pro models and a big identity with the brand. Dill came with the boat at sea. This part Proves that Layton is a legend, always has been.

I remember Greg or someone saying that Andrew and Dustin shared a part just to shorten the video. Seems logical to cut the one guy who technically isn't pro anymore from the video. It's still shitty though. Especially since he now works for Vans. What I really want to know is what the reason for cutting him from Toy was since Billy Marks and Josh Harmony are still on and they don't do shit. I'm starting to think that it was just his choice to settle down and get a real job now before its too late.

This part was even better then expected. When I talked with him at the vans demo, he said he got a phone call from Ed one day that they had to let him go and then all his other sponsors did the same later that week. What was stupid is that all this was ready for the vans video, so even with this all ready, it still wasn't enough to keep his sponsors happy. I don't know if something happened that he didn't want to say but he was pretty damn open to talk about it all. The whole getting a job at vans was someone who knew about what happened and wanted to help him out. He said only skates like once a week now so I'm guessing unless he starts getting hooked up again, this will be his last big part. He's suppose to do an interview talking about the whole thing and that's why he's been silent about it, it's too much to explain over instagram.

That was a great part, would rather watch JLay over Marks by far and JLay over Harmony X10,000 . I honestly don't get how those two are on Toy still (unless Marks releases a really gnarly LRG part). Harmony has been milking it forever and was never that good to begin with + being religious nut bag, never been a fan.
