"The Royal Family!
The revolutionary war began in Boston in 1776 and we kicked some Brittish ass. Then we kicked thier ass again in the war of 1812. It was nothing personal, and after like 1 or 2 years the bitter adversaries became best of comrades. It seams historically fitting that the first US rider on Great Brittain's Blueprint Skateboards is Boston's very own Kevin Coakley. Cheers to Kevin and Blueprint from the Orchard! May the sun never set on the Blueprint empire!

wow this is pretty big news.   and also real exciting.  i think this guy works well as the first american blueprint rider where as joey brezinski didnt really fit with the cliche too much in my opinion.....hopefully they make a new video soon

i like the fact that the way we kicked their asses in the revolutionary war was brought into it.  that is a point i frequently bring up when i justify that american card players are vastly superior to british players.

Not to be a stickler...but it was Slap's One in a Million that he won and he chose to have hid board designed by Gonz instead of Castrucci...very bad decision. His board was soooooo lame. It was a blue sceened board that had Krooked written in yellow. And Kevin's name was cribbled on somewhere and it had one in a million scribbled on it somewhere. I was bummed at how little effort Gonz put into the graphic. Castrucci would have given the job more respect.

Oh I get it...One of a Krooked..sorry for not immediately getting your reference. I still think the Gonz disrespected the honor of winning a graphic by putting zero effort into it.

It looked like just about every other krooked graphic and art Mark does, what were you expecting?

Yeah, You're right. I think that's why Castrucci might have been a better way to go. I think he would have come up with something with more feeling to it...something to remember. I'm biased because I've always been more of a fan of the type of stuff Habitat puts out rather than Gonz' style of art. Whatever, it doesn't matter anymore anyway, but at the time, Kevin was always hanging out at the shop my roommate runs and it was a little closer to home, if that makes sense. I wanted him to have something rad.

Sure, Castrucci's might have looked better, but I'd rather have a board drawn by the Gonz not because of how cool it'll look but because its the Gonz.

the real question is...

How is Dave Mackey so fucking small and so fucking rad/gnarly?!

Shame about half the East team, there's a company that needs some slimming down...

Will wait and see about Coakly... but in recent blueprint ads he's listed as "Extended Fam" along with Palmer and Mikey Wright...
