If I were to buy one Morrissey cd, which one should I buy? I only have a couple songs but I love them and I'm very interested in his work.

bona drag or world of morrissey...but you may want to buy his recent stuff...you are the quarry or ringleader of the tormentors...better yet buy the queen is dead by the smiths or singles by the smiths...

oh and morrissey/the smiths is some of the most amazing music ever...

best albums to start with morrissey are his debut, 'Viva Hate' or b-sides compilation 'Bona Drag'. they're not his best albums, but a good place to start. i rank his albums like this...

Viva Hate > Your Arsenal > Vauxhall and I > Kill Uncle > You Are the Quarry > Southpaw Grammar > Maladjusted > Ringleader of the Tormentors

i didn't include the live albums, but the Earl's Court one is pretty great.

Ringleader was so mediocre it's painful to listen to

It depends. Do you like slower songs? Go with You Are The Quarry. Do you like, catchy, poppier songs? Go with some of his other CD's. Just start off with Singles from the Smiths and a Best Of Morrissey CD and go from there.

duuude, you c'mon.....it's not only the lack of harmonica that makes it a better version...but the guitar sound b/w beats is rad....can't really explain it....ask me why, and i'll spit in your eye.
