Andrew Reynolds has a mean fakie heelflip-shuv-it but when I try them they look like dog shit.

Good example! Such a strange trick, I always liked Dill's one on flatground in Mosaic.

MJ has good double flips. He can do ridiculous stuff like a backside 180, backfoot late flip and make it look amazing. Jimmy Carlin can do 360 hardflips that don't look terrible. Carroll is a god at making combo grinds look good.

I'd call MJ the cool-maker. He pretty much instantly makes any trick acceptable.

Antwuan's another one. He did tons of tricks the mainstream probably would consider very lame and made them look awesome - fakie double flip down stairs, nollie backside pop shove, nollie varial heel, etc.

shouldn't

BA - fakie varial flip
Kevin Romar - nollie bs 360
Rowan and obviously mike carroll - pressure flip

Fuck, it's really Mike Carroll who's the best at this. He did a tailslide bs shove to fakie and it was sick , then feeble bs smith on a ledge, 3 shoves, 5-0 front shove on a rail, and more im not thinking of

I wish more people would do pressure flips down stuff.

I hated that trick until i saw someone do it down a 9 with an effortless style,
after that, i wanted more

Dylan has a handsome double flip. It's been said but Van Wastell's Var flip looked amazing. I've never been a fan of front heels but lately lots of people have been doing really nice ones that are caught proper, Antoine Asselin comes to mind.

Ellington did one (I think it was a pressure flip anyway) down a pretty sizable loading dock gap if I remember correctly. Maybe a Supra ad or something.

Tim O made everything look good. I only mentioned Kerry because he almost single handedly legitimized them and did them regularly.

Van Wastell was the best at this.

He really was. Every trick done by Van was cool.

The thread is about who makes the tricks look cool, not who does them a lot.

I was thinking about this recently as varial flips became so popular again over the past year...It's interesting when certain people are able to make a "lame" trick look cool by doing it really well/with a unique style. For example, I think nollie hardflips are a weird trick but they're cool when Cairo Foster Nakel Cairo Foster does them. Are there many other notable examples of this phenomenon?
