Yeah they rule. Their music is so over the top it's good. I thought I'd hate that shit cause I'm not usually into power metal but DragonForce is just so uber. When I gave them a chance, I had to get all their records. Last spring was basically DF only on my ipod. It's so pompous it gets me hyped.

As for other "good" power metal, some old Stratovarius-songs are awesome. Check the song Speed Of Light. so good...

Pretty much how I feel. I started trying to learn sweep picking a while ago and then stopped after realizing that never in a million years would I want to play music like that.

They don't take themselves seriously at all.  They purposely write the most ridiculous fantasy songs ever for fun.  And why the hating on Wolfmother?  Slightly corny lyrics, but still they play some good shit.

If you get inspired to skate a certain way, how concerned are you with its popularity or acceptability within the skate world
I thought skating was popular and acceptable in the skate world. Maybe I didn't get that press release.
