WKND sucks and so does RipNDip... those dudes are serious kooks that somehow managed to dupe everyone into thinking they're cool when they're snooty dickwads that don't know shit about real skateboarding (but their last video was good!)
RipNDip definitely sucks, but those are two unrelated things. WKND has a great team, great boards, great graphics, and puts out great video content regularly, what is not to like?
As mentioned, RIP N DIP and WKND are not affiliated. Grant Yansura jumps into this in a fairly recent interview, in which he discusses how him and the guys that were affiliated, i.e. Stuckey, and even the likes of Gillette and Molinar, stopped associating with them, as the brand went in a truly "cool guy" direction, along with the whole cat and alien art direction. Honestly, the whole WKND team, image, production is great, along with the fact that everyone on the team rules. I am backing it 100%, and am very glad to set up my new WKND board. I sort of view the team as just a bunch of outcast nerds who wanted to do something cool. And again, I think that people like Molinar, Gillette, and sometimes Stuckey accidentally give off that image of being snooty, simply because of their public image, which sometimes works against people, i.e. Rieder. The brand is certainly refreshing. And for Jordan Taylor, Toy Machine royally fucked up by not turning him pro. So now, with him on WKND, he will become even more relevant, along with constantly producing, as this brand seems to stay busy.
