Girl Collector & Other Skateboard Memorabilia
« on: January 06, 2016, 09:38:26 PM »
http://girl-collector.com

This dude's been collecting a lot of skate stuff for a long time. Pretty rad to check his collection out. Lots of really old or limited boards, also a really good selection of signed boards.
He's also on insta instgram.com/girlcollector

Damn.  Nice stuff.  I'm kind of bummed I didn't start collecting decks when I was young.  I just feel like it's too late to start now.  Growing up, we had one shop that had all the World/Blind/101/Plan B stuff and another that had the Santa Cruz/Powell/H-Street stuff.  I could have had a sick collection.

Ha, I'm pretty sure that Marc Johnson vulture was mine originally, but I could be wrong. I had a mariano Where the Wild Things are deck that I sold brand new a few years ago, didn't realize I could sell it for close to $700.

What? I have one, mint condition. I tried to look at this site but it crashed my phone repeatedly and I'm not near a computer.

Some of those prices are so absurd...he's selling the newer Chocolate city series (Berle, Hsu, Raven, Perez) for $69 while all of those decks were on clearance racks before the holidays for $29 (the Raven one is still available http://www.skatewarehouse.com/Chocolate_Tershy_City_Series_Deck/descpage-CHTCTYDK.html )

but otherwise, some cool stuff in there!

I could be wrong but I think he works for Supra distribution in Canada, which does Girl/Choco.

FWIW  j....soy..... and I live in the same city as him but I don't think I've ever met him.

What made him suddenly decide to sell everything?! Or is this just a portion of his collection? In debt?

not sure why, i don't think he's in debt but yes this is definitely just a portion of his collection. they're doing some consignment stuff through that site as well, so some of those boards could belong to other people.
