Btw NB#, can we have a Tiago high? I mean a 1010 with a high top just to be clear.
That would be my dream shoe.

I feel like it would be a real design feat if they could make that look good.

The upper looks a little clunky to hoop in, but the sole probably isn't optimal for skating because of the exposed foam and the price that I imagine it would make the shoe cost (US retail on the Kawhi 4 is $160). So I'm not sure what store sells this shoe or who would buy it, but I also think it looks interesting and am glad they made it, for whatever that's worth. They made the perfect shoe for the Bunt Jam, at least.

I 2nd this
I would also back this heavy. I’m holding out hope that Reynold’s shoe will be similar to the 1010 but in a mid or high top

This is a variation of the KAWHI IV basketball shoes, unfortunately not the new Tiago, but the design is clearly inspired by the Tiago models."

These look super sick though. Could see them as an excellent chiller. Keep my feet nice and comfy and look dope as fuck. I am still very interested.

This is like the perfect mashup of my love of skateboarding and my sons’ love of basketball.

What really cooked me was the fact that the 440v2 low (synthetic) is LIGHTYEARS more comfy than the 440 v2 hi, doesn't even feel like the same family of shoe.

this is simply, not true at all -
they feel exactly the same.

I got the all black, gum grip, white laces 808 at Nordstrom Rack today. I’m hyped. It’s the first chunky shoe I’ll skate since grade school. The last NB shoe I had was the 288, which was years ago.

What’s funny and kinda sucks is I ordered them online and paid for shipping to pick up in store, and when I was looking around the shoes in my size, I found the exact shoes were already in the store. So I never would have needed to pay the extra $10 if I just went to the store in the first place.

Anyway, if anyone in DC wants them, $63 at the Nordstrom Rack on 18th and L.

While my foot is way too wide to require shoes to be tightened like that, I’ve seen clips of the Boss himself wearing his shoes like that. So I absolutely do trust dudes that wear their shoes like that.

While my foot would never be able to be strangled like that, I’ve seen clips of the Boss himself wearing his shoes like that. So for better or worse, I absolutely do trust dudes that wear their shoes like that.

They're just super narrow, and look choked when you A) use thin laces and B) use the gilly lacing system. I've swapped around to stock laces/gilly and stock laces using the regular lacing and they're still choked (same goes for 1010s):

. Polar oppostie of my 440v2s W-I-D-E-S:

This model 440 in mid/hi would be amazing; maybe it's just the synth suede but it's way more comfy than the high.

And no, the 440v2 WIDE synthetic lows do NOT feel anything like the 440 v2 highs except for the same insole you chode@doorpanel). Show me your shoes, seriously, back that shit up and I might believe you.

I often football lace the shit outta my shoes, because I can’t have my foot sliding around in there.

Seems kinda goofy to get at someone about how they wear their shoes. Different strokes and all that.

Going to give the 1010 another try. I got a pair at Christmas time and only lasted about 5 minutes walking around in my house before I decided to return them. The arch was too high for my liking. However I’ve been dealing with plantar fasciitis for about 6 weeks so I’m desperate for some relief. Also got some super feet insoles for my work boots. Getting old sucks.

You forgot that he had to previously make an alt troll account, log out of his main one (to protect whatever rep he has I guess?), log into the troll account so he could post it, log out, then log into his main account again (to preseumebly kook me down, as is happening); I got bent on his post, then thought about how sad his effort to do all of that actually was. Imagine being THAT guy (and how he is mentally in RL for that matter)...then of course the kooks happen from this thread. So petty, over tight/narrow shoes...hilarious really.

Anyway, back on point, the 440V2 wide synthetics are probably the best shoe I've worn in years, and totally slept on in this thread.

how are you tracing several accounts being linked? I've often thought certain accounts are the same person especially when accounts gang up with very similar commentary, but I can't see a way to track IP from posts or any metadata

Man I kinda messed up I put JB weld branded super glue on the stitching of my Ollie foot on the left toe area of my new pair of 1010's and after a week or so the bond is so strong it's been digging into my pinky toe and not so much blistering but like...bruising it. I can't ditch these new amazing shoes so I'm just living with the pain lol. Maybe I put too many layers on or something?

Definitely too many layers. Had the same problem a while ago. If you put too much super glue on the stitching it seeps through the holes and hardens the whole stitches and panels.
Just a thin layer on top of the stitches is enough so the area is still moveable.

So the KAWHI IV are technically a skate shoe? I mean, they’re in the Numeric range, and Tiago was skating them.

Regardless, I think they’re dope and grabbed a pair.

Would anyone here recommend the Villani? I prefer vulcs and there aren’t many options at my local shop. I’m leaning towards a pair of these or the lows.

I like my GTs well enough, even though Blazer’s have always felt a bit strange to me in the way that my foot slides up the board in them while ollie-ing and doing flip tricks. I think it has to do with how round the toe is. I feel like there isn’t as much traction as I would prefer.
