i have one gay friend that skates. he gets a lot of shit for it. hes loud and proud though, so that is expected. however i was skating a park in another town one time and i told some guy i was gay as a joke, later on 2 guys came over too me and start fucking with me. i just went with it and didnt tell them i was straight becuase i didnt realize they were serious. nearly got my ass kicked. i was 15 at the time but i looked 12, they were like 18, fucking subhumans. the word spread and a bunch of people from that area still give me shit whenever they see me.

some random guy came up to me not to long ago and asked me if i was "that faggot kid". I told him i was, but he pussied out and split. met him later on in a local shop, and he started talking shit again, the owner overheard it and asked me if i was gay, without thinking i was like so what. now hes being a dick to me whenever im there.

fuck skating we pretend like were so liberal but its the fucking opposite.

i was in san francisco 2 years ago and was kinda shocked at how homophobic the skaters were, i figured they would be more chilled out since its the gayest place in the world.

hsu strikes me as gay btw lol. i always wondered what pros are actually gay. im guessing 3 years for the first male pro comes out.

also fuck jeremy klein.

he posted a picture on insta and wrote "the next person who calls me a sus is getting banned"

i asked what that meant, and someone told me it was slang for gay. i then wrote "i SUSpected that" or something and he blocked me lol.

I'm painfully concerned by the hypocritical stance the skateboard community (as a whole) takes on gay skateboarders.  Everyone always says "yeah man we're outsiders so we've gotta stick together!" and then bashes everyone else the same way.  Creativity and open-mindedness are the main things that push skateboarding forward, but we're stuck on a sexual preference?  Being gay is not a choice.  If any of you have ever felt ostracized by someone saying you don't belong, don't you want to help include those who have also suffered a bullying of a similar extent and band together?

Unfortunately, I don't believe it can be resolved by an up-and-comer breaking into the scene.  It's going to take multiple established pros that have already earned their place to come out and make other folks question their current thought processes.  A newcomer will just be written off, whereas an established pro can make someone rethink their current mindset.

I hope there are current pros out there willing to breakthrough and help those trying to break in.  Obviously, it's always a person's choice when and whether or not to come out, but I'd love to see some of these folks use what they've established to help others.  Our culture is moving the right direction, but there is still so much improvement to be made.

what if a gay porn video leaked that had two pro skaters in it fucking each other up the ass really hard and sucking each others' dicks? what do you think the reaction would be from the skate community and which two pros would it be?

when i was in high school i had 2 best bro's i would always skate with... one of them disappeared and the other had a crush on my little sister even though he was a junior and she was like in the 8th grade- thats besides the point though. anyways my friend that had a crush on my sister was better at skating than i was and he called me a fag all the time, i think because i was younger i dont know, anyways one night we got stoned and drunk and i passed out on the floor in my room. i was laying there and i woke up to my friend rubbing my lower back with his finger tips. then i woke up and was like "what the fuck? and he just laughed and said some shit like " haha, are you ticklish? youve got goosebumps."
then i told him to fuck off and quit touching me and i rolled over and went back to sleep not thinking anything of it.
it wasnt until i got older that i realized how fucked up everything was.

Why is skating like this?     Cause skating to this day emulates 70s Cali surf parking lot culture.  Which was all drug dealer machismo.

I was lucky enough to learn about homosexuality through my aunt who is your quintessential butch dike.  She was always stronger than most guys and never enjoyed girly things since she was very young.  Everyone knew she was gay but when she came out in the eighties she received plenty of shit.  I learned that people were born this way and that is that.

About ten years ago my aunt met a guy who she fell in love with and has been happily married ever since.  The whole thing has fucked up my family, almost like coming out as gay would do for most other families.  I'm no longer so sure about people being born one way or another.

Big Brother did an interview with Jarret Berry years and years ago about being the first gay pro skateboarder. Or at least I'm pretty sure he was pro. He even got the cover. In true Big Brother fashion non the less

It's an open secret that many female pros have female partners. Although I've met many gay skateboarders over the years, most kids who skate are 15 years old or younger and have just begun to explore romantic relationships.

- rather watch gino push (pump)
- not true gay porn cuz one of the guys wore knee pads
- discussions about the shoes they were both wearing (god help them if either of them were in Nike)
- yeah, the part was good, but it's not just about ass to mouth you know, it's also about how good you do the basics
- I'd like it better if they didn't fuck like robots
- Someone in some random underground gay porno from '92 already did those tricks
- is the dick sucking at the end vegan?
- gay porn has jumped the shark these days
- Puleo hit cellar door(s) harder than these pussies
- was the footage sped up ala Magenta?
- were their foreskins baggy (or tight, or cuffed) enough?
- danny way will claim that he also has some footage but he's looking to release it at a later date
- "of hetero"

Some of the gay dudes that I know seem to look down on skateboarding, not because we're jocks or homophobic, but because they think it's kind of a skeezy pass time.  One of them actually used the word skeezy to describe it.

i liked to trick lesbos into falling in love w/ me then yelling 'mind freak!' in their ear til i grew a conscience.
psyche but i did make out w/ a pretty young thing in boston while her gf watched her kid. she was in my existentialism class i monitored and came skating w/ us but mostly just drank wine w/ my sister. we were kissing in the car on the way home and she told me some story about getting touched on by her brother [prior to getting knocked up by a black man, what the heck?].
she and mtvic's bulldagger aunt are the anomaly, my brother too. he got raped [supposedly, he is prone to lies lies lies] and now he'll turn the other cheek for drug money downtown. and he's got a gf w/ a penis and tits.
i would classify him as lonesome and so he's down for whatever's in front of him but his gayness was learned. there is a small portion of folks like that or in that movie 'raped at a frat now she's chasing the cat' as ice cube considerately noted. he's so aware of women's feelings. but yeah, most gays are born that way. trannies just weird me out.
if it were two good skaters then your park heros would gay off to get good, some people would open their eyes and others would shut them. it wouldn't make too much of a difference but someone should film that video in the dave carnie shoes.

He's in my top 5 favorites so I would support him whole heartedly, but I have a feeling if hew as going to come out he would have done that already because he's already reached legendary status in the skateboarding world.

i`ve actually talked to a (non-skateboarding) gay friend about this, and he had a kinda interesting attidude: he suggested that some gay skateboarders might not choose to openly come out not only because of the possible negative backlash (well, lets face it, it would happen, sadly) but also because they have already seen how female athletes (in general) get shit because they get featured even though their level might technically be lower than that of male athletes. as in "oh look at him, he gets coverage because he is gay, not because he rips".

How many people here have gay skate homies? How many bi? Me: 0/ 3 confirmed, 1 alleged, respectively. On a conspiracy note: maybe a few of the bisexual homies are actually gay but say they are bi because it's perceived as more acceptable?

One kid at my local skatepark used to tell me he was bi sexual and stuff all the time, now he has a girlfriend so i asked him if she was cool with him being bi and he told me he doesnt find dudes attractive anymore like he grew out of it. Same park had a transexual biker too

I guess the tolerance does depend on where one lives. Where I live, my friends (skate community) and I openly support gays. I would understand if you went to the south where the history might be different, that people would act differently. But I have subtlety asked the question here and there to people and everyone seems really positive about it.

Out of curiosity, I heard Texas is really bad about supporting gays, is this true?

I know of quite a few gay pro skateboarders. I can understand why they choose not to make it public knowledge. If the rumor is true and B.A. came out I can't see many people hating on him. How could you? The dude is a fucking legend and his style is magic. But I tend to dislike the new Street League breed of jock skateboarders so maybe I'm wrong.

It's strange how the PC police come to the rescue of homosexuals when somebody says gay or faggot.  I lived in West Hollywood for quite some time and dated a makeup artist for music videos like Lady Gaga and all that crap. If you aren't familar with West Hollywood, it's the gay capitol of L.A. and very dog friendly. And of course many gays work in the makeup/ fashion world. My exposure to Faggotdom has been quite interesting. I have had many gay friends and I've never met one that is offended if someone says gay or faggot around them. Many of them use the word faggot quite often when joking with friends. Gays aren't subnormal idiots that need self hating white heterosexuals to be their super heroes. PC people need to stop being faggots and suck a dick.

"Stop being a faggot and suck that dick!"- Louis C.K.

Switching to another topic. Women are not even close to as good as men at skateboarding. And yes, it is BORING to watch 99% of the time. I'm down for chicks skateboarding but the fact is male ams are better than the best female pro. Women don't deserve the same amount of money as men in skateboarding. They do not sell as much product as men. If a professional female skateboarder does sell as much as a male pro feel free to correct me. Just because you're a woman doesn't mean you are entitled to money you did not earn. There isn't a large demamd for female skateboarder's products. Not because evil men are keeping women oppressed, because most find them to suck. Why watch a mediocre person skateboard when you can watch Andrew Reynolds or Dane Bureman?

If you believe in complete gender equality and you are against gender binarism then you must also be okay with men hitting women in self defense.

Also has anyone considered at all that no big name pro skaters have come out as gay yet because they don't want to be the poster boy for gay skateboarders? I'm sure someone who's known openly as a gay person by all of their friends, family, and sponsors, and is a well established pro probably isn't that worried about losing board sales from homophobic kids at the skate shops. (We all know that board sale royalties are rarely a pro skateboarder's main income anyway.)

Maybe some of these gay pro skaters just want to skate and not have to make some grand declaration via instagram "Hello I want everyone know that I'm gay." Or they don't want to do a million interviews about being the first openly gay pro skater where Nieratko asks them about "backside lipslides" or some other dumb shit. Yes it would be great for the skateboarding community if someone who was well known and respected came out, but that doesn't mean that anyone has the obligation to do it.

Tim, I'm pretty far to the left on the scale. I support anyone's sexual proclivities but find the thought of engaging in sexual acts with a man myself quite icky.

I understand that the word "faggot" is now common vernacular to insult someone who is acting like an asshole, but to use it, insisting that you don't mean it as an insult to homosexuals, takes a dump all over the word's history and how it has been used to denigrate and devalue a specific group of people for most likely longer than you've been alive. Using it as a pejorative says much more about you than it does about the person you're using it against.

One of coolest dudes and best skaters I know is gay. When Jason Adams died he wrote a really interesting blurb about having  an Adams poster on his wall when he was a kid.  it started off discussing how torn he was about the poster and looking at in two different ways. Then it went on to talking about how torn he was dealing with the fact that one of his favorite skaters was outright anti-gay people.

I say faggot all the time but I'm still progressive. My best friends gay, my girlfriend is Asian and I have a slave who happens to be black

"I don't call someone a nigger for being black, I call them a nigger for being a nigger"

"I don't call someone a kike for being Jewish, I call someone a kike for being a kike."

"I don't call someone a wetback for being Mexican, I call them a wetback for being a wetback."

"I don't call someone a gook for being Asian, I call someone a gook for being a gook."

Totally agree and unless I'm completely mistaken I believe Louis CK has spoken out against that bit and has admitted it was in bad taste.
