Really awful news that has been relayed to me by one of 360 frip's friends on here. 360 frip recently passed away in an unfortunate accident that resulted in a drowning. He will be missed. I am attaching the news article from Hong Kong and a translation that covers all the major points of it.

He was on the wharf at Cheung Chau drinking with at group. He got drunk, then he slipped and fell into the water. Although there was an off duty lifeguard and boatman nearby and he was quickly pulled out with their help, he had already fallen unconscious and could not be revived at the hospital.
According to students he liked skateboarding and was exceptional at it. He also liked to drink a beer, and would often drink and get drunk after getting off work.
It happened at a small pier in the opposite direction of where he was teaching, and there were railings along the road next to the ocean. That evening at 11pm, there were 4 women and 2 men sitting along the shore, chatting.
One of the girls (20) was one of his former students
He was visibly drunk already, then he fell down some stairs at the pier and fell into the water with a "bang".
The 6 people were surprised and ran over to see what happened. They saw that he was struggling in the water. Upon seeing this, an off-duty lifeguard (37), and a boatsman immediately dived into the ocean and pulled him out, but he was already unconscious.
The 22 year old girl called the police, an ambulance came and they took him to the hospital, but he had already turned blue and they were unable to revive him.
The police picked up his belongings and started investigating.
They suspect he was sitting down on the ladder/stairs of the pier and drinking, but lost his balance due to the influence of alcohol, and then fell into the ocean then drowned. The police will contact his family later to investigate.
His former student who witnessed the incident expressed her sadness at his passing.

The news footage in HK of incidents like this is pretty different from what you get in the states. Surprised at all the photos. There are shots of his skateboard being carried by emergency people.

when i first started coming here i thought he was a fan of king crimson/robert fripp. then i learned his sense of humor.
