He has an infectious smile, generally indicative of being a decent human.

I think I usually enjoy RB's music behind skating when I see it.
Has anyone gone as far as to listen to an album? Can anyone recommend a good place to start?

no ray barbee interview is complete without his friend who he rode bikes with all summer ;D  Dude is so fired up, it get's me hyped every time.  Hands down one of my all time favorites.

Also I just realized how weird it is to have the drive to do something on a skateboard 300 times or until your body physically shuts down.  We are a strange bunch for sure.

Yeah I dig his albums if you are into mellow instrumental music.  I have In Full View and Triumphant Procession.

I always loved his music video at the end of "Can't Stop"

There's a video on YouTube with Ray, Mike Watts and Chuck Treece(on drums) just free styling at Mikes house. Also some cutaway footage of Ray killing Channel Street park. Awesome watch if you get a chance.

This video is perfect. Finding out his musical roots were just as tied to skateboarding as anything really struck a chord. Also, whoever the dick was that stole his first pro model should forever feel bad for stealing from Ray.

I met Ray when he was working at Outhouse back in the early 90's when The Firm was just starting out and the industry was still in the toilet. He is as positive and considerate as you could ever imagine him. Zero pretension and 100% rad.

I wish I never lost the think ballcap I had him autograph. Swear I never had a bad session wearing it.

Ray Barbee Meets the Mattson 2 is an amazing album as well.

Hyped to hear that BLKTOP Project is working on a new project, I bought their album Lane Change and it's got some great tracks on it like Drifter.

Can never get enough of BS with TG.
The album Triumphant Procession was how I discovered his music, was available through Blitz back when the Firm was distributed through them.

Preach Ray!
Took me a couple days to get around to watching this. I could watch 4-5 new video parts in that much time. But it went really fast.
So true about first tries. A few weeks ago, I landed something first try (once the camera came out). This never happens to me. Instead of being happy and moving on to the next trick or spot; I spent the next hour trying the same trick at least 40 more times, until I could barely stand up. Thinking I might be able to slide a little further. It never happened. Self torture at its finest.
