I like the dad hat trend because I can finally wear the cheap opening day hats I've acquired over the years. Other than that I've word the same thing since like 9th grade. I'm waiting for fitted caps to come back so I can wear my picnic table girl hat again.

am i stupid for not knowing what a picnic table girl hat is?

really though the idea that someone who doesn't skate nor gives a shit about it would intentionally try to put together a "skater look" is fuckin absurd, do they look in the mirror and say " fuck yea, got my skater look perfect"
[close]

You would be very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very surprised. Basically any building that houses at least one advertising/marketing agency will contain at least four of those people, and it grows by an order of magnitude with each additional advertising/marketing agency. Chicago has some buildings containing nothing but these people.

I don't know about where you guys are from, but around here (Bay Area) the "skater look" is huge with girls now too. Thrasher gear is everywhere, but even smaller brands like Doomsayers is too. Some of them even actually try to skate and ride a board around, but most are just into the look. It's a little weird but mostly just funny because of how they're all into guys who actually skate.

One of those King of the Road challenges should be to put as many different eras of skate gear together in one outfit.  Defiantly some Dog Town/Z Boyz, Greco, Muska, California surf bro/Tony Hawk, Mid 90's San Diego, Some Corey Duffel, a little Stevie from back in the day, and of course some Habitat brown cords game.

It was a printed new era fitted hat in the mid 2000's when new era was all the rage, these came out at the same time.

Pretty sure the picnic print hat he is referring to is a baby blue and white check print similar to a picnic blanket/basket

gross.

they must be the least interesting people imaginable.

nothing going on to inspire the way they present themselves, no identity, no subculture, just trend hopping.
[close]

That's pretty accurate.
[close]

that's really, just sad... and gross, and cringe inspiring.

totally squandering their potential as humans...

content to be boring, blank/bland worker bees... i guess, maybe... the world needs that, too.

Naw it isn't really that depressing, they just might be a bit lost.  When I got into the idea of dressing myself up, to look good, I just trend hopped. I looked terrible and I think one day I looked at the outfit layed out on my bed and I was like damn that looks dumb. And then I really got into dressing myself, and I got a bit burned out on being super fashionable and now I look like I got shit together. Those people are probably just clueless and they'll get it one day.

If you need a magazine to tell you how to dress you're fucked.
It's a shame those kinds of people don't have their moms picking out their outfits.

nah, i think i fucked up in translation, it's more of the fit of the clothes more than what the clothes are, either way the difference is that the pants actually makes it down to the shoes, and to not dodge the question more like fits from flip's sorry or baker 3 i guess, but when was drawstring cargos a thing anyway? mullen's globe opinion part?

Gonz was a visionary, as always.

anyways, that american GQ is hilariously awful.......
you probably aren't harnessing the Henley’s full power to attract women and make you look like a legendary badass

seriously? I read the French GQ and believe it or not, it's much better.

also: I second the return of fitted caps

The switch to snapbacks was weirdly sudden. I was working in a skateshop where people asked me to grab a hat off the rack for them and turned it down when the saw it wasn't fitted. Six months later, the same people came in asking for snapbacks.

You know I thought these forums were a for skating not discussing fetishes
