The new name is better and I like the Escher logo.

you could do some consistent, slightly offwhite tone for the soles, that makes them readily identifiable. Which makes me wonder, is it more expensive to do a non-white sole?

I prefer solid or non high contrast between sole and upper, but the vast majority of shoes are white sole + whatever upper. I do skate white sole/dark upper sometimes, but can't help feeling like it's sort of a cartoonish look, like old school Mikey Mouse or something. Sometimes it looks good, but I can't shake the weird association.

Gum soles FTW, I think they look very proper on shoes.

Ha, interesting you should bring that up.  I have had that conversation (to no real result) about gum vs. white a couple times.  I am definitely curious as well.

Thanks. You can do that color, yeah. It's a weird one, it actually doesn't sell all that great usually. It's a fine line between "off white" and "why does this new shoe look dirty?"

Haha...oh and on the cost, sometimes gum costs a little bit more but white vs off white would be about the same.

Speaking to this, make a good cupsole slip on.  I was excited before the Owen was released and there were rumors it was going to be a cupsole slip on.

yeah. It is a fine line. A friend of mine once bought a set of wheels that were off white and they basically looked like dirty old wheels right off the bat lol. I could see it being even more of an issue with shoes.

Hey dudes, been a while...here's what's up:

@properskateboarding is the IG if you wanna see what's out there so far.

Nate Guest (@hallucinate_g) is on with us as well as Cam Barrett from Portland. Working on a couple more, stay tuned on that.

I get sales samples in correct colors in about three weeks, so once those are shot I'll be sharing some info. Right now looking like April '17 for first drop.

I've been testing samples, mainly to make sure the cupsole works right and it's been fucking great.

Next few weeks will be busy but I'll update when I can.

Guess you could say it's all going "proper"! Hyuck hyuck hyuck. I'll be here all week, folks. In all seriousness, I hadn't recognized the brand's posts on my IG feed... now I know who it is. The new logo is timeless and the name is good too. Looking forward to see those shoes!

Yeah, the boxes look great. I never understood why more time isn't put into the packaging. More expensive, yeah but if I'm asking to try on a pair and I see it comes in a cool box, I get more stoked. Maybe it's the kid in me. Haha

White/Gum has a lot of features similar to a Fred Perry shoe I rock.

Hugely digging the aesthetic! Nothing outside the box, just clean simple designs.

I really like the second one, the all black model. All in all, they're nice, clean, elegant designs and the hightops are appealing. The box is neat, eye-catching, too. Good job!

I want and I don't even do cupsoles. Hey baravettski, I remember you posting some ftw samples on here a while back. Do you think nike were sharking your shit when they did that ftw blazer not long after?
