well, even farage himself said a narrow result like the one we have now would be insufficient and that there'd be need of a two thirds majority at least to call the result:
http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-eu-referendum-36306681not saying a simple majority vote is never legit, but in this case, it would have been smart to say from the get go for any change to happen there needs to be a two thirds majority for it with no chance of a rerun in the foreseeable future. that would have made some people think twice about it and even if two thirds would vote for leave, we at least wouldn't have the discussion now. it's a sketchy subject tho, it's hard to not make it sound like some people's votes or opinions are worth more than others. any vote should be worth the same, regardless of how stupid or smart, poor or rich the person is, how noble or crazy his or her intentions are or how much time is left on the life clock.
