I didn't really interact with him at all, but we both attended the same wedding for a mutual friend and he was extremely off-putting in person. Maybe that is just what it's like being a celebrity at the wedding of the hoi polloi, but nevertheless, I understand why people describe him as creepy.

Yeah I have heard the same thing. In the 90s, the default cool guy personality in Chicago was asshole so the stories made sense to me.

I believe one of his ex wives said that the greatest role he ever played, was Fred Armisen. Kinda says it all.
