jonny giger goes pro for revive
« on: September 06, 2016, 02:34:21 PM »
i know, i know, youtube kooks blabla whatever but i decided clicking on this one and i thought he did some cool things with his skateboard like i wasn't disappointed as usually happens when youtube recommends these revive boys. i read this dude puts in a lot of work in some shithole park in switzerland so it's nice to see him get some recognition i guess.

(also if anyone could tell me how to embed a youtube video i'll edit this, i couldn't find it in the help thing)

Jonny Giger and Alex Rademaker are actually fun to watch, to me. Schrock couldn't be more whack if he tried though

Some of the most amusing post-trick gangster posing I've seen in years!

I remember seeing a video of him a couple years ago and thought he looked like shit on a board, but that video was actually pretty tight. didn't really dig the late flip stuff though.

This. 100%.

Board slide to fakie on that bank?
Its like they are unaware of any other internet clips out there...

On a side note, do you think Revive is like a gateway sponsor....or a career ender?
Me, personally I am leaning towards the latter...but I have been wrong many, many times before.

Or just choose to ignore them.. I feel like guys like this and Aaron Kyro are definitely talented, if they just filmed parts and were not so hungry for fame a wider skate audience would end up appreciating them. I guess that's the youtube generation though.

I get out plenty, It's not like I said they are insanely gifted and deserve high paying sponsors and respect, but to deny Aaron is a talented skateboarder is stupidity at it's finest, then again, look who I'm talking to.

I don't think being on Revive is a gateway sponsor, nor do I think it's a career ending sponsor. I think it's just "being on Revive", and you're just part of that world from now on whether you like it or not.

The youtube skateboarding world is so bizarre and fascinating.

This. A parallel reality which occasionally temporarily intersects with real skateboarding at The Berrics.

That being said I can appreciate weird flat trickery from time to time, so I think Jonny's alright as far as he goes, which just happens to be not terribly far.

Revive should enter one of their skaters in Tampa Am or Pro just to see how they do.

I clicked through and wasn't surprised that Andy had to give his commentary at the end.

Mr. Schrock, why must you be so obsessed with hearing yourself talk?

Grabbing the board before you pop is a testament to never taking the time to learn how to do that trick properly. Just cause you can, doesn't mean you should.

Also does anyone else feel this dude is trying to cop Beagle's style?
