Popping boardslides over
« on: September 26, 2016, 02:25:40 PM »
I want to hop over the other side of a flat rail or whatever on boardslides and the various things you can do into boardslides. I can sometimes get them to feeble so that's like what... 70%?

Tips?

frontboard pop over to fakie is the easiest imo.

rail and direction you go for reg front board: ll

rail and direction you go for frontboard pop over: X

obviously i'm not very good at them.

To either pop over or nollie shuv etc it usually just takes me the conscious effort to land in the slide with your shoulders already over the side you want to pop to then it's just a quick pop and slide of the feet to bring the board back under you.
ill murray, can you remind me why you think im a kook

What I'm ultimately hoping to do is halfcab boardslide (fakie boardslide?) back to fakie on the other side. I can get it to what I guess would be hurricane sometimes but then I just fall out. I can never get my wheels over.

I can totally picture what you're saying, I think it's just a matter of how you're leaning, like if you're leaning back behind the board in the normal way then it'll be much harder to pop it over you actually have to adjust yourself so that you're straight over the board for the pop

yeah the body positioning is key and i also try to use the squareness of the rail/ledge to kind of pop my board be it either forward or fakie. this renders popping out of round bars a distant dream and possibly my post useless  :)

Try harder young blood

What works for me is sliding more up front then using the extra torque to pull over.

Only one i've ever done was back board to regular in the middle. I seemed to help to get the back wheels real close to the rail, more leverage that way.
