I'd like to buy some all suede CTAS Pro's

Any input on sizing?

I've worn a lot of vans classics, vans pros and more recently sb blazers.

I’m on my third pair of suede CTAS, and they’re great.

In most shoes I go between 10.5 or 11, and I wear the CTAS in 9.5.

Also, I forgot to mention, but mine were the highs. Can’t speak to the lows though I assume they’re at least similar. Not sure which ones you’re after.

Anything in particular that you're not liking about the Ace's?

Admittedly Titanium Indy's are a good move for folks planning on stepping away from Aces.

See if you can talk them down lower. "I've stopped here 3 days in a row to buy these, gas, time wasted. Give me a little more off"

Thinking of dropping ace 44s for 149 titanium Indy’s

I just made this exact switch. My thinking was that I liked the way my Indy 169’s turn and feel more than my Ace 55’s, so I figured since my Ace 44’s are on their last leg I would switch for Indy 149’s on my smaller set up and that the Titaniums would be lighter. So far, the difference is a lot less significant than with the larger sizes.

It is probably me or my ability, but the aces aren’t consistent enough, like some times they’re smooth and some times they’re crunchy landing tricks or wobbly carving a wall. I don’t want to think about my trucks and I feel Indy always gave me that.

Asked in the set up thread but didn’t get a response, anyone have any experience with habitat recently?
It’s been about 4-5 years since I’ve had one and I’m curious about the shapes and the steepness of the kicks, looking at a BBS pressed one that’s 8x31.5x14 which is the current dims I’m on, I’m just on a really mellow full se.

You don’t have any shops nearby where you could see them by your own eyes? I haven’t skated a habitat board in ages too but I just saw some at my local and to me shapes were very ”happy medium”, nothing too sick but not flat by any means... Those were bigger boards tho so my response is pretty useless 😂

I skated a nasa board earlier this year. Pretty standard shape honestly. Not square like FA. Medium kick on mine, but different boards in the press may have different kick. It was really similar to a theories and isle board I rode. Pretty sure those three are all bbs.

Local doesn’t really carry habitat or Aws and I’m not going to ask Gary to order something just to have me not be stoked and have it sit in the shop not selling.

Thanks, i couldn’t tell from the photos, and the last habitat I had was pretty normal shaped but I’ve seen some of the new aliens with big noses so I didn’t know if it carried over

I love Aces, but all my friends say the same things you're saying when they trued out my setup with it. It's something that you hope you can get used to.

Personally going from Aces to other trucks, I feel like it's easier for me to balance and make myself stable because having to do so with the Aces before I try anything.

I've had them both and I prefer Indy159.  But venture>thunder for the lack of wheelbite and added stability.

If you are using small wheels i would try thunders. I have 151 lights with 51 radial slim on a 8.6, so good. Big, stable, low and light.  I had indys 169  they were too heavy.
