I went to the shop. I almost got trucks. The homies say they dont turn and got me scared because we're there to skate the bowl.

I like the bowl but i like want to just practice switch tre and crooks.

Id go back to thunder but idk. I like the base plate to touch the flat bar thats how i break on through to the other side.

Nothing is better for nose grinds than ace. Soft metal grinds everything.

I want the kids to ride ventures and to chomp ledges with me when they grow up.

Im going to teach them that 270 is always the only option and that 50s and board slides are for old people.

honestly when you first get them they don't turn much at all. but once the top washer wears into the hangar a bit they seem to loosen up a good bit. kind've like stage 10s with good kingpin clearance with an even slower turn.

if you have a friend that's heavier than you have him/her stand on your board and it should help.

thinking about switching from bones to spitfire wheels. i don't see how bones is selling wheels for $39
and i noticed they don't offer a blank v3 wheel, kinda seems like they are forcing you to buy one of their pricey graphic wheels by doing that.

do spitfire offer a thin wheel like the v3?

Woos, one of resident wheel experts did a great comparison of Bones vs Spitfire shapes:

Bones - Spitfire
V1 - Basically 1mm wider Radial Slims
V2 - Narrower Tablet
V3 - Classic
V4 - Radial
V5 - Narrower Conical
Venture Truck Height:

5.0 & 5.2 LO
STANDARD - 1.88” - 47.75mm
FORGED - 1.85”- 46.99mm

5.0 ,5.2, 5.6, 5.8 & 6.1 HI
STANDARD - 2.09” - 53.09mm
FORGED - 2.04” - 51.82m

i think classics have a similar contact patch to v3s but they're definitely a much wider wheel overall because of the more aggressive taper whereas v3s are definitely much thinner. The classic slims back in the day would be most similar but p sure nobody was buying those.

If you want something like the v3s, you can either get radial slims which have a wider contact patch but are the closest in overall wheel width, or you can get classics which have a similar contact patch but are much wider overall (this also means they'll have a much wider contact patch when they wear down)

I look more at overall width
V1 - Classic
V2 - Tablet
V3 - Classic thin/slim
V4 - Classic Full or Bighead. Radials have a slightly different radius
V5 - Conical is tiny bit narrower
V6 - Conical Full

Kohls/JCP line. I've tried them on for kicks. Decent insole, kinda stiff sole for vulc, really stiff suede upper
I guess would be useable skate shoes for that price

Good for the price but nothing to write home about is what I'm hearing. Should be good for a few sessions. Can't bring myself to skate my Adidas Busenitz, they look too damn good.

I’m after some softer wheels for rough terrain that are still skateable. Like they’ll slide on nose slides etc.

Been eyeballing the Slime Balls mini vomits 97a 56mm. Anyone fucked with them?

this looks like a great experiment for me with its dimensions. just got in bed with 14.38 wb and want to see how low i can go. also never owned a baker board.

9.0 width which im accustomed to
31.8 length would be interesting to try on a stock board
14.25 wb could be nice, never owned one
6.875 nose how much different than 7.0?
6.5 tails feel the crispest when i pop
.5 concave :o not sure what that will do to my skating

outside of the concave and width, it has the specs of a baker 8.25 which might be a godsend for tech stuff with my big ass feet

at $60 price is steep but it might be worth the investment in finding what like and dont like dimensions wise. would be the most odd deck i ever owned but i log my findings which each board i buy to try and keep my madness in check

while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo

I think it’s that short because Marc rides super short boards, so maybe that’s what he rides now.
I think everything else is just a stock 31.75.
Wonder how the kicks are.

Seems the understanding is generator.
The site has photos of the kicks on most but it’s hard to really tell the difference on that small of a photo. I have to assume mellow to medium by the looks of it.
I took it to their DM’s like a man to ask since I genuinely want to order one

Helmet question...
If a size L protec is too snug and I order a size XL replacement liner, will it have more room, less room, or just not really fit properly?

From my understanding the shells should be the same size, just the liner is different. Unless yours is the certified one with the hard foam, which I don't have experience with. Similar certified helmets have the same shell just different padding. Good luck

Anybody skate Hockey boards? Been looking at the AA Angel 8.25 and contemplating pulling the trigger. The wheelbase and length seem perfect, just wondering about steepness of kicks and concave... I usually skate mellow Tum Yeto boards so I’m used to a flatter deck.

Anyone ever skate the Adidas Superstar adv shoes? I really like the black with white stripe ones. $80 bucks is steep for me, so I wanna look into how well they work.

Trying to wait out for more releases but I feel like it will be another month or two. I'm so close to getting another pair of Vans but trying to mix it up/
