What's the consensus with the new Lakai Telfords? Been eyeing them up for a while but can't try them on in person anywhere.
Alex Olson never had the makings of a varsity athlete.

I have a pair and I think they're a great shoe. Look good with jeans or shorts. They're durable as well. I got the Griffin Gass colorway but they have a good selection now. I think they are dropping lows soon too. I usually wear an 8 1/2 but got a 9 and they fit perfectly.

So you'd recommend half size up? I went half up on the Carroll's and they fit me good, but wasn't sure if it was the same deal with the Telfords since they both use the XLK sole.

Yeah I think going up half a size would be good.

Yeah they look pointy/narrow near the toes so it makes sense. Thanks for the input, much appreciated!

Been contemplating some Last Resorts, and finally saw some in the wild today on someone’s feet and man did they look good. It was the last push I needed.

Thanks @off

Another one, I am looking at way too often..

Is the Rowan Pro Shoe a bit more stiff and doesn't get floppy as the usual Vans Pro shoes?
Skated 1 pair of the Rowan’s. Wearing my 2nd pair casually first and letting my current in rotation skate shoe die out before I give the Rowan’s another shot.

At first, they felt very boxy. The sole is on the stiffer side, but still has that Vans floppy feel. The shoe is constructed very well and lasts very long. The boxy feeling never really goes away though, which is not a bad thing at all. Although they are not my favorite skate shoe (i prefer true low tops), they are very very good shoes nonetheless.

You won’t regret it - other than the sole wearing down somewhat fast they’re great skate shoes.  The grip and flick is A+ and they look good.  I’ve jumped down some smaller stuff in them and haven’t had a big issue with the insoles being too thin or uncomfortable.

spent a relaxing day in the 7.5-7.75 safe space thread and now i'm waiting to see if the shop boards will count during their sale for a 7.75 orchard deck. they probably won't BUT i'd feel like an idiot ordering before the sale even happens

Samba ADVs
I wonder if they are really different from the og ones.
I love the timeless design, and found them for cheap so I could get them even if I don't need new shoes...

Way too much shit on my mind this last week. Wack Friday isn't making anything easier. I want Blazers, Vans Rowleys, Joey O'Brien or Sammy Montano's Alien boards, a GX board, Indy standards, 97A wheels, caps and clothes from different skateshops, Tiago's pro shoe, GTS returns...just torturing myself.

I currently have too many decks and wheels in my pile to justify it but I really want the Antihero 8.75" with the short 14.25" wheelbase... and maybe some 54mm classic full Spitfire repeaters... Too many good deals... I should just go read my book...

TKF decks - clearance stock but I like the brand. Also, my stack is getting impossible to hide from the missus and I feel an intervention incoming.

I bought and regret it. They seriously fucked my feet up just walking around in them. they almost twisted my feet because they were a drastically different shape. it was weird, I’ve never had that happen to me. I ended up just taking them to goodwill

I think someone might have reallocated resources from those trucks.

It happened quite a lot to some other things, even wheels were stolen from one complete in one of the stores I worked in (not on a day I was working though).

Cute that grip tape is rolled up in a plastic bag below too.

EDIT:

Where is that?

I ask as we have them in Australia too (just looking at their website), with some skate products from generic looking brands, completes with Fury trucks, but no trucks on their own, or so it seems.  They have been rebranded to their own brand.

Emerica Gamma. Loved it back in the day. Really like the way it looks now. The last emericas I had was the first figgy shoe, and they destroyed my knees; no support.
