So, Spirit Quest got my vote.
Almost voted for Fuck this Video 2, just because it's got a lot of local spots (SD) and those guys killed it.
But, is GX1000 not indie? That came out in 2016. Just too affiliated with Thrasher to make a TWS list?

Aren't the GX1000 guys directly supported by Thrasher? I thought I read somewhere they were getting paid. Would make sense for TWS to not include them in an indie video vote.

Pathways and Spirit Quest are my pics, each good in its own way and no doubt a crazy amount of work. Was a little surpised not to see Zak Chamberlain "Bright Moments" in there.

Only thing I felt spiritually "lacking" in Spirit Quest is the existence of I-path, but alas this is a sentiment I've personally carried for years.

Colin deserves all of the accolades he receives for Spirit Quest, and I find him to be from personal conversations a quality human being.

I mean this would make so much sense.

I don't remember ever hearing anything about their deals and I certainly don't know any details, but I was always under the impression that GX was directly funded by Thrasher. Thrasher sells their merch and aside from Bru Ray I don't think they do that for too many others.

Honestly out of the choices, I've only seen Spirit Quest. I'm surprised that Where We Come From wasn't on there. That's one of my favorite videos of 2016.

Part of me wants to vote awaysted just because P. Spliff is the greatest thing to happen to SF skating since EMB, but went with Spirit Quest anyway because the video is super rad.
