Same.. and the 3 pack tshirts I used to live in. Fuck I even bought the shoelace belts at one time... ugh haha

Always weird when someone that WAS the brand leaves for something else... isn't it something like you need to see something 15 times naturally before it becomes familiar again?

RVCA better get their insta spamming on

When Daewon got on adidas, at first it was of course a bit of a woah moment as he was DVS... but seeing him in the shoes for a bit now, actually getting to go on a trip with him and speak to him, now I see it and it just makes sense.

Not really a revelation here... see something long enough and it'll seem familiar haha

Altamont hasnt been doing well in a long time....

I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure Thrasher printed that Altamont was completely done.

I bought a pair of RVCA Leo Romero jeans at Salvation Army the other day. Never owned any of their clothes, but the jeans are super comfy and fit well. If Reynolds brings a similar Altamont influence to the brand I'd be down to wear them more.

rip in peace Davis Slims tho.

What is your problem with Goodwill?

It was about time, everyone else went to Volume 4 and I assumed that the boss will joined his own brand once altamont faded out.

According to the website Neen Williams is the only rider, but I think that Ryan Lay was riding for them.

I got some Altamont gear and I really like them, the Reynolds pants were amazing

Definitely, and they had sick, good quality product to back it up. I've had tons of their stuff and I still wear a t-shirt from 2008. I've always liked Altamont but just recently I realized their team is full of hi-waters wearing WKND teens who wear ugly clothes and who I have no interest in whatsoever. No more Herman and now even Reynolds gone, fuck it.

I loved reynolds altamont Pico jean, i bought like 30 pairs in their existence, then the skinny jeans fad got old.

Most of RVCAs stuff feels cheap and is the go to for surf bros but they make a good heavy weight pocket tee that i swear by.

Good move for Reynolds now just get rid of caples and show me doubles of fletcher and reynolds

Probably the buckest thing ever was altamont releasing the jeans with the roach clip, they might've been the Hermans, I kept one on my Krew Ars at all times just in case..

Over time, the ass of the jeans + sitting on griptape got the better of me and the quality diminished hard after a while

It always seemed like Altamont should have became bigger than it did. They had the right creative direction and hippyish influence to draw from, the right riders to match something unique (eg: dickson = overalls, slash = flannel/wool jackets etc), but I don't really remember them ever evolving their customer base outside of the skate demographic. Which to me signifies some success, when you see non-skaters wearing skate product.

Choosing the historic Altamont festival as their muse always confused me a little bit too. Along with the manson murders, wasn't that suppose to be a negative turning point/blemish in the hippy counterculture of the late 60's/early 70's? Oh well. When ever I'm down and need some compliments, I just throw on my old altamont hoodie. Does the trick most of the time...

Anybody remember a skate apparel brand named "Comune", like 5-6 years ago? What happened to them? They had cool pants.
